Strengths:    Looks GREAT, AWESOME price, no no name components, relatively light frame for the price

Weaknesses:    Rims. They break. A lot.

Bottom Line:
A really great bike for people getting into the world of mountain biking. I would 100% recomend this bike for people who are looking for an entry-level mountain bike in this price range, as i have found it to be very reliable, and other than the rims, very durable. You're goin to have to replace the rims, but other than that this is a bike that you're goin to ride and enjoy for a while, and the price is really great for the quality of the bike.

Strengths:    solid frame, with decent brakes, strong fork

Weaknesses:    incredibly weak rims, crappy seat will destroy your gentlemans frendlies

Bottom Line:
this bike is a wonderful starter bike. It was my first real mountain bike. I have learned to ride and wrench on this bike. Do not consider if you are actually gonna ride this thing hard off-raod and do not want tospend the money upgrading. I have upgraded nearly everything on this bike and have won many races on it so if you don't mind shellin out a little cash this bike is for you.

Strengths:    Good stong durable frame and not to bad forks a good bike for the price paid

Weaknesses:    Weak rims both were buggered within the first 3 months, and useless saddle compents are pretty avg but this is expected for the price value of your bike

Bottom Line:
A very good bike for freeride or started a good stong frame and a good bike to customize

Strengths:    Price, light frame, Looks pretty cool

Weaknesses:    Seat(OUCH), Derailleurs, Pedels, Rims, RST Fork

Bottom Line:
Great bike for a beginner. Good components for the price. Started out really nice but after six months of abuse it's in pretty bad shape. First thing I did after getting the bike was to loose the plastic pedels and get some heavy duty pedels. I also replaced the seat before I totally lost feeling down there. This bike was great for cross country but when I got into trail riding I could tell it was a fairly cheap bike. My front shocks filled with water and totally locked up in the middle of a ride and to this day still aren't working correctly. The rims are bent to heck and the headset is totally out of wack. The drive train didn't take well to mud and I had to totally take apart and rebuild the derailleurs. I had the back hub rebuilt because it stopped spinning. Now the crank is loose from smashing some logs and rocks and my front and rear derailleurs don't really work how they are supposed to. Overall the bike is a good bike for beginners and for those who don't abuse their bikes. I have learned a lot from this bike and I can say that for the money it really hasn't let me down. I'll probably ride her till she totally falls apart.

Strengths:    Cheap and upgradable. It's only bike under $300 that comes with threadless head tube. Light for the price also.

Weaknesses:    Aluminum hash. You'll need to stand on bumby trails or your ass hurts.

Bottom Line:
If you don't have a bike and want it now. This bike is for you. It will have you going place to place, but you will want to upgrade it soon. My upgrade list are wheels, tires, stem, shifter, then I realized that, after all, upgrading will cost me just a bit less than buying a new bike (with lighter frame..)

Riding on trails, this bike handles well. 28lbs is not super light so it will drag you down uphill but not much. The frame made from aluminium 7005 and you know when you ride on it. It's hash. Susp. seat post helps but I won't put it on my bike since it looks stupid. :-)

Strengths:    Lightweight for the price, rapid fire shifters, and no no name components

Weaknesses:    Rims are awfull I have warped them twice riding 3.62 miles with minimal bumps. Fuji is looking into the situation, I will follow up

Bottom Line:
This bike is a great buy. Even with the rim problems the bike seems to be very stable and should last quite awhile. I weigh a slim 240 which I'm sure helped with the rim issue. I think I made a great purchase $230

Strengths:    Bike comes with a good initial component setup. No no-name brands. The price won't put a hole in your wallet, and is a good deal. Lightweight alluminum frame.

Weaknesses:    Seat is very firm and will give you sores if you're not accustomed to it. Could have used a suspension seatpost to alleviate this.

Bottom Line:
The Fuji Nevada is a mid-point bike in their Millenium Line. It is an excellent choice for beginners because of the quality components it comes with, and the price they come at. Its frame is alluminum, which keeps the weight down while retaining its stregnth. The RST-281 R front suspension system that it is initially equipped with is sufficient and works well, but they probably should have just gone the next step up and included the RST-381 R front suspension system. It has Shimano Rapid Fire shifting, for reliable and quick gear changing. The brakes are Shimano V-Brakes, which are very powerful and reliable. The saddle is not that comfortable, as it is very firm. A suspension seatpost (which it is not initially equipped with) mostly alleviates this, however.
