A great cross-country bike that wants to go, suitable for light free ride. Have had no problems with it and would highly reccomend this bike! Need to change the seat.
Bike Setup: Mavic X138 rims, deore hubs, deore cranks, BMX Pedals w/ screws, 18.5" frame, rise bar, deore shifters, deore brake levers, XT rear derailleur, Deore LX front derailleur, wtb seat, titec post and stem, Avid Single Digit brakes, Michelin WildGripper XLS and Front S.

Strengths: Price! Great value for what you get. The Hayes mechanical brakes stop me on a dime and I am over 210 lbs. I also think the frame is very strong for the weight of it
Weaknesses: The paint job is out of date would much rather have it in a solid colour. The tires are far to narrow I think this is one main reason I bent the rim so easily. Also I had to change the seat post as it kept coming lose.
Bottom Line:
Will not find better value for the money. However, living on the North Shore I wish I spent more money on a full suspension bike.
Bike Setup: Rock shock pyslo XC (fantastic), 2.5 and 2.3 tires but everything else is stock.

Strengths: This is an AWESOME bike, I love how it rides (mind you it's all in how you like the bike yourself) Climbs great, I found I did more climbing on this bike that on my previous bike, and I was able to make it up steeper, longer, harder hills.
Weaknesses: Weaknesses? Hahahahhaha.. the only beef I had with the bike, was the no-name riser bar I got, everything else was perfect.
Bottom Line:
The bottom line, go out today, test ride one. It's an awesome bike, Climbs like .. whatever climbs good. It's got a good feel to it, and it's great for hardcore XC, or some light drops/freeriding. (Baseball dugout drops)
If you can like a bike enough to want to ride it, no matter what weather, pain, or other complications, to me, it's worth buying. My DeVinci lets me ride anytime.

Strengths: Judy XC: adjustable prelode, rebouned, coil spring hrdrolic damping machine hayes cable actuated disk Break, with avid speed dial 5 levers: amazing 1 finger breaking, no tool break pad change, low maintanence, you get the same roter and break pad as on the hayes hidrolic, easy opgrade if needed frame:6061 aliminum with viper blue and prowler yellow drive train: deore-xt
Weaknesses: most titec X wing seat posts had a manuvacturing problem, as a resulte there was a recall. No problem I just got a Kore as a trade in. The deore krankes may not be strong for some. you should be able to trade it in during purchase of the bike for LX splined at around 80.00 canadian. Trust me I did it and it had been worth it. Splined makes the diferance
Bottom Line:
I love my CHILLI PEPPER. I call it me BIaTCH wherever I go. this bike can take medium freeride and crazy XC. If you are looking for a bike like this there should be nothing eles in your mind. take me advice and buy it you will never look back.
Similar Products Used: specialized hardrock(but if you live in Canada you will probably get the chilli pepper a hell of a lot cheeper)
Bike Setup: stock except for LX crankes, Kore seat post, bontrager stem and Wellgo b37 flats(old habits never die)

Strengths: Great value, nice component selection, handcrafted canadian made frame.
Weaknesses: Crappy titec x-wing seat post. The bolts that hold the disc brake rotors came loose.
Bottom Line:
Awesome all around bike. I use it for trials and freeriding, and it pretty much devours any trail thrown at it. Titec seat post is a piece of crap, get rid of it asap. All other components are solid- Hayes mechanical disc brakes, Shimano Deore derailler and crank, Avid 5.0 brake levers, Time pedals. Love the Time pedals, much better than anything from Shimano or Wellgo. I recommend the bike to any one who wants a solid bike that can be used in most any situation, from 6 feet wheelie drops to rough downhill terrain.
Similar Products Used: Devinci Chameleon, K2 Razorback
Bike Setup: The bike is stock, except for manitou x-vert fork and race face seat post, Black Spire Ring God.

Strengths: Great bike.Hand built aluminum frame. hayes mechanical disc brakes and shimano components.great bike for the price.
Weaknesses: tyme pedals started to creak after one month of riding.
Bottom Line:
Great bike with good components.Climb hills better than and other bike I have ridden, and no problem stopping on the way back down.Looks great too. The rock shock Judy XC works good. I have only tried an RST and a rock shock jett and it works far better. I am going to use the pedals for the rest of the season and see what happens.
