Strengths: Light. Fast. Ultra responsive. And has so many wonderful parts attached to it.Weaknesses: Cockpit tends to run a bit small. Had to replace the stock seatpost with a laid back Thompson seat Post. Ate up the tires pretty quickly.Bottom Line: It took a little bit of adjusting to get the fit right. But now it's a XC rider/racer's dream! The 2x9 drivetrain is great. The components are basically bombproof and lightweight. The only complaint was the front derailleur not wanting to upshift occasionally. Beyond that minor problem the bike is the fastest, most responsive bike I've ever had the pleasure to throw a leg over. More than once I've found myself almost in trouble because I can move so much faster now. Swapping the race tires out for ones with a little more bite will make your everyday rides more comfortable. In short, this full bore race bike will satisfy your desire to flow long singletrack rides at warp speeds. If you can find one at a good price grab it!

Strengths: Frame fork combination are as close as you'll get to putting a Formula One racer on the dirt. CODA expert disc brakes took a little while to burn in but are the best stoppers I've ever had.Weaknesses: The bike may turn in a little too quick for some riders because the headshock doesn't have any sort of deflection which is actually a good thing. The coda brake levers are uncomfortable.Bottom Line: The bike factory stock is OK, but you're better off buying a Frame fork, then a parts kit. You'll spend the same money but you would get better parts. The bike has the perfect balance of weight and handeling versus the Rocky and The Specialized.
I wouldn't reccomend it for the 220lbs+ riders. It may be a little too flexy which would result in future cracking, but C-Dale offers a lifetime frame warranty. I would definately reccomend this bike to the person who wants a super light quick handeling XC bike. It's a little short along the top which makes for a compact fit.
Have fun and e mail me if you have any other questiones.

Strengths: Light. Well made. Great components. Awesome paint scheme. Nothing needs to be upgraded.Weaknesses: For the price, it doesn't come with bar ends or pedals, but I guess those are real personal choices.Bottom Line: Great bike. I pinched the Mosquitos on my first ride. Those are pretty slippery tires so I swapped them to familiar Dirt Masters/Controls. The bike works great and does what you want it to. So far, no mechanical problems with any of the components or the frame. Retail cost is pretty steep for a hardtail (over $3500.00), but I got mine at a great deal from the boys over at Helen's in Arcadia formerly Pro Bikes of Arcadia. Thus 5 chilis instead of 4 for value. If you find one at a discount, get it.
Favorite Trail: Crystal Cove in Laguna and China Camp in Marin.
Duration Product Used: 3 months
Similar Products Used: Specialized M2, Klein Attitude, GT Zaskar.
Bike Setup: Stock, except I threw on some Dirt Master/Control tires and Ritchey pedals.

Strengths: EVERYTHING!!!!!!Weaknesses: Saddle plastic ridge bar snapped!Bottom Line: THIS IS AN UPDATE! Now that this bike has had almost a half a season of racing under it, it is time for another review. Also b/c my review last review was cut short. $orry. This bike, after the harshness of eastern racing has held up beautifully! No problems except for the saddle. SRAM shifting always beautiful, 2*9 works flawlessly. Less cross-over. As easy as a gear as you need but without having to @#$% AROUND with the granny worthless chainring. Shock takes some breaking in and is hard to get the perfect air pressure for your weight...it is a $hitty fork if your dont have the pressure exactly right...but when you do!!!Bike came stock with the CODA competition discs at least the earlier ones in production). Haven't had to readjust them! when it is muddy I put in the softer compound pads for superior braking in mud...no squeeking or any noticable loss of power in mud! REVOLUTIONARY!...NICE crossmax disc wheels...hubs as smooth as butter on a hot bisquit. Light! Climbs! tRIED OUT CODA's new susp seatpost...didn't like...took out a lot of the bumps but didnt do it for me. felt too bouncy poping me ff the saddle. horrible top out noise. but i could image lots of people going nuts over it. not for me though., by for now. e mail for any questions or concerns.

Strengths: Superlight, Great component group, and ultra hot looks.
Weaknesses: First set of CODA cranks creaked badly until replaced, Mavic quick releases rattle.Bottom Line: A great cross country racer! Man does this thing climb! A bike that comes stock with all the great stuff, no need to change anything.
I'd give it more chilis but that quick release rattle thing and that crank thing was disturbing for such a pricy bike.
After the first race though the bike did nothing strange or unexpected and no creaks!! It better stay that way.
