Strengths: This is an awesome bike! awesome frame, awesome parts.... I can't say enough good things about it. EVerything is perfect right down to the grips!Weaknesses: NOTHING!!! IT'S TRULY PERFECTION! I'VE HAD LOTS OF BIKES TOO SO THIS ISN'T COMING FROM A NEWBIE! I RIDE HARD, I BUILD MY OWN BIKES AND I HAVE LOTS OF EXPERIENCE WITH FRAMES....THIS BIKE IS OFF THE HOOK!Bottom Line: THIS BIKE IS PERFECT! BRODIE IS REALLY DOING EVERYONE A DISERVICE BY NOT MAKING A CRMO BIKE NOW... I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DIDNT' KEEP MAKING THIS BEAUTY... IT'S ONE OF MY FAVE BIKES OF ALL TIME!

Strengths: smooth riding steel frame, and good quality brand name parts where it counts.Weaknesses: noneBottom Line: When racing in Raid the North Races (an adventure race series here in Canada) a short ride is often over 6 hours, this bike makes even the long rides good. I can't believe that Brodie no longer makes this bike in steel.
Favorite Trail: any Raid the North Race
Duration Product Used: 2 Years
Purchased At: Freewheel
Bike Setup: Changed shifters and rear derailleur to Gripshift 9.0sl/9.0.

Strengths: Lineage - it's a Brodie. Prestige Frame, Geometry, spec for $Weaknesses: Not a Freeride Bike, Rims - no eyelets, single wall
Should have been spec'd with a Manitou SX-R over the SX.Bottom Line: This is a Elegant machine. The ride quality (ahhh, steel) and Geometry make for a very responsive and comfortable bike. It climbs, descends and corners on par with any XC Hardtail I have ridden. Rides like the Handbuilt Brodie Sovergn I always wanted.
No more Prestige production bikes for 2001!? Kind of a sacregligous move for Brodie if you ask me! If you aren't too hard on your bikes (no big drops) and like to put on the miles I couldn't think of a nicer ride. Buy one if you can still find one.
Favorite Trail: thrill me Kill me
Duration Product Used: 6 months
Price Paid:
$1200.00
Purchased At: Westpoint Cycles
Similar Products Used: Rocky - Stratos, Equipe, Stumpjumper.... The Brodie makes them all seem rather uncivilized.

Strengths: It's durability and componenentsWeaknesses: the stem is kind of uglyBottom Line: It is the best bike I have ridden, much better in quality than the 2700 dollar Rocky Mountain I raced. The frame has a lifetime, which is incredible, and it rides incredibly smooth.
The component group is usually seen on higher end $2000 range bikes, but brodie has decided to put them on sub-$1750
bikes, like the kinetic, the fury, and the infinity.
Overall, this is with no doubt the best under $2000 intermediate racers dream hardtail.
I think younger people around 120-150 pounds and not a very big wallet finally have their perfect bike.
Favorite Trail: 4 dead aliens
Duration Product Used: 3 months
Similar Products Used: santa cruz heckler, Rocky Mountain element
Bike Setup: Race Face, LX-XT, Manitou is awesome
