Strengths:    Upgraded from a old Norco Rampage a buddy sold to me.this bike is a sweet ride but having The front Hayes disc only makes me want to add a disc on the back .For the price this is an awesome bike !!

Weaknesses:    I agree the bike should have better components.I upgraded to an XT rear derrailleur in store and also added a 32 tooth rear cassette for better climbing .

Bottom Line:
Great cross country machine !!Anyone cn ride this bike and enjoy .Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'The 2001 Electro looks even better !

Strengths:    Good frame, climbs well, Hayes hydraulic front disc... better than my old bike

Weaknesses:    i agree with the guy about the stx rc stuff but it is ok... also the shocks that came with it was not very good (JUDY C LT) also has a really long stem which sucks

Bottom Line:
I got the brodie electro new on sale for a really good price which turned out to be a good investment. takes hits well and is also a lot lighter than my old bike. The front hayes disc and the rear avids are a good match. the only bad thing is the stx rc stuff and the huge stem. I recommend this bike to anyone whos looking for a good bike with a small price.

Strengths:
Boom proof 7005 frame;inhouse products of better than average quality(actually worth using)

Weaknesses:
STX crap (hubs, front der.); frame cries to be upgraded!

Bottom Line:
I decided to sell my downhill bike (Spec.FSR), 3 months ago due to lack o'cash. Then I caught the bug again and wanted to build a less expensive trail bike that could take some serious hits. The brodie combined with the rst's and the treads make this into a kickass woods machine. Bang for your buck, this bike kicks...but trash the stupid stx gear....that is why it only got 4 things?oh yeah, west coast B.C. riders are the most insane period!
