$550.00 | | Purchased At: | El Paso, Texas | | Strengths: | Awesome, stiff, light aluminum frame. Very nice geometry and a lot of bike for the price. Nice front deraileur. | | Weaknesses: | The front fork, brakes, levers and and grip shifts are very cheap. They cause many headaches, but you get what you pay for. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek 820 | | Bike Setup: | Shimano Acera X rear der., STX front (top pull) der., shimano crank, balance wheels, hubs, brakes, stem, etc. | | Bottom Line: | Good bike for the $$. However, only buy it if this is what you can afford, because you get a sweet frame. If you can, go for a higher model. Its the same frame all the way to Balance's top end, but the componentry increases in value. If you're a hard downhiller, consider one with front suspension. The fork bent within a month for me. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
