Box chain stays and seat stays for extra rear end stiffness, custom front triangle that virtually eliminates all torsional flex. Disc or "V" brake compatibility and lateral rear dropouts are standard.

This is a great bike, i spent last season on a large heavy dh frame, sold to me at the local shop "fitted" to big ,and paid to much.I rode so little last season its enuff to be beaten over.I got lucky and found a buyer on ebay around x-mass. my girlfriend got me this frame, and its got me so STOKED on ridin again. This frame feels so at home freeridin as well as xc , elavated trails, cat walks, down town, skate park and at the local BMX track, its soooOOoo nice and stiff .this may sound crazy but this frame is a hard-tail, and it brings me more confidence on drops and gaps then my old "big hit" frame.frame size is 16.5 or med. im 5 11, and i find it verry nice. You can also run a 2.5 tire, i have rollers on mine.I did at first have doughts as to the frame, just from the ev. 1's less than top shelf history of head tube prob. This headtube has a new design of extra build at the gussits.dont worry!Long story Short, if you want to bring your ridin to the next level, throw yourself across long gaps of earth, and relly feel the control of a hardtail,AT ALL COST FIND AND PURCHASE THIS FRAME!:P

Even seen one go off of a 15 footer. However I ripped the headtube off of 2 of them doing nothing too big, and I've seen about 3 others break or crack in the Identical spots. feels light & nimble, very stiff with a nice tight rear end (oo-er) and feels instantly comfortable. Handles lovely with 4 1/2 - 5" at the front. looks sexy. Hasn't broken yet.
Weaknesses:
Horizontal dropouts. 16 1/2" frame could be longer to suit taller riders like myself, although with a 90mm stem this doesn't really matter. Noisy chainstays cured w/lizard-skin.
It's a great bike, no question. I am tall (6'4") and it feels comfy with a longish stem, but as i said earlier another inch on the top tube would be nice. Better parts will bring out the best in it; Hope discs & a set of Z1s are on the list, as are stronger cranks & a longer seatpost. The psylos are ok but hate mud & feel a bit soft & squishy. The horizontal dropouts p!ss me right off; what are they for? If you want to run single-speed buy a BMX. Otherwise, a fantastic versatile frame. I built mine up for under a grand.

Bottom Line:
it can be expensive yeat totally worth it. When fellow bikers have a shot on my evolution the first reaction is "wow !". At forst glance it looks awsome and when you hop up on the beast it just feels right. the super stiff rear end and horizontal drop outs allow it to shoot off like a gazelle on steroids, and the perfect geometry of the frame makes it turn and handle like no other. Once you ride and Evolution your other bike will feel uncomfortable and seem like a brick on wheels. TRULLY UNBEATABLE FRAME BUT QUITE HOLLOW.

Stiff, not too heavy, SEXY!!! Can handle 6' and 7' drops every day with no complaints. Also, nice welds and finish. Feels solid under my 185lbs, and not many frames do.
Weaknesses:
The horizontal dropouts tended to allow for occasional wheel slippage due to torque from the disc brake. Also...nearly all of the threads on the drive side of the BB shell are gone due to the use of an MRP slalom guide. Apparently the frame thought that the boomerang arm didn't allow the BB to thread in far enough. Hmm...slalom frame, slalom chain guide...I'll let you figure that one out.

Oh, and Kenda Ultra Lite tubes. Might as well save weight somewhere.
Bottom Line:
If you want an affordable play bike that can double as a race bike, go for it. It's inexpensive compared to a lot of the other offerings out there, and is just a lot of fun to ride. I use this as my "XC" bike to ride the trails I don't want to push my 36+ Lbs Bullit around. Plan on racing a few of the local DS races on it also. Overall construction is good (Paint and Welds) with no problems to report on so far. Who should buy this bike? The person who wants a go anywhere do anything hardtail - not for the weight weenie.
