Strengths: Steel-is-real feel, well thought out design, great handlingWeaknesses: I've yet to find any!Bottom Line: After riding this bike at the 24 hrs of Conyers, and preparing to race it in the Iditasport Extreme, I can honestly say that it is the finest riding bike I've ever straddled, geared or single-speed! It's handling is spot on, the cockpit is extremely comfortable, and the frame is so smooth that I prefer to ride it fully rigid! You can't go wrong with this bike, especially for the price.
If you're hesitant about buying consumer direct, a phone call to Airborne will relieve your fears. They are friendly, courteous, and they ride bikes! It's a deal worth looking into.

Strengths: long, low top tube. stiff!!! bottom bracket. long drop outs. 853 steel. good price. 'frame saver' treated.Weaknesses: they use bondo on the joints to make it look fillet brazed and it has already cracked (cosmetic damage only)Bottom Line: i am really happy with this bike. you can't find another 853 single speed for this price. it is the best handling hardtail i have had, geared or one speed. the stiff bb and long top tube make it a great climber.the bends in the stays are really well done, no kinks or bulges, and there is plenty of mud clearance. the other plus is the Airborne customer service. i got my frame overnight and have recieved two hand written letters from them. bottom line is,this is an affordable, race quality frame that i would recomend to any level rider.

Strengths: Strong, stiff and nimble.Weaknesses: A little portly.Bottom Line: As someone who's worked at a bike shop, bike factory, toured a few dozen factories and thrown a leg over a bike or fifty, I know what works for me. I also had a hand in the design and spec of this bike, so that makes me one of two things: a bike-geek know-it-all and a ballsy self-promoter. I only submit this review because the bike is new and newsworthy. Not many companies can make the claim to be truly consumer-friendly. After riding mostly steel and titanium the past few years, I can honestly concur that anyone looking for a great singlespeed will be more than pleased with the Sky Hag. Let me know if you’re interested in a titanium Sky Hag; we’re batting the idea around.
