Strengths: HVY duty!
Great Engineering, manufacturing! This frame has Fast geometry!Weaknesses: Heavy. The shock could rebound faster. Not enough travel.Bottom Line: This is NOT the alpinestar exactly listed. I have an older model frame. I want to hear about what other people think too. I love mine! It is fast, fast geometry, and really excellent suspension design. The only suspension that I have seen work 1/2 as well as the alpinstar is the Giant XTC with the NRS design. Anyway, this bike requires me to be very weight conscious, even with light stuff like CF nuke-proof hubs, volocity rims and misc. titanium, I am just at 28lbs.
Favorite Trail: tiger.
Duration Product Used: More than 3 years
Price Paid:
$250.00
Purchased At: recycled cycles Seattle
Similar Products Used: Hardtails, & a few suspension bikes
Bike Setup: Everything machined that I can find, a lot of old "school" parts. Machine tech wheels, Magura HS-22's Race-face BB.
