$250.00 | | Purchased At: | recycled cycles Seattle | | Strengths: | HVY duty! Great Engineering, manufacturing! This frame has Fast geometry! | | Weaknesses: | Heavy. The shock could rebound faster. Not enough travel. | | Similar Products Used: | Hardtails, & a few suspension bikes | | Bike Setup: | Everything machined that I can find, a lot of old "school" parts. Machine tech wheels, Magura HS-22's Race-face BB. | | Bottom Line: | This is NOT the alpinestar exactly listed. I have an older model frame. I want to hear about what other people think too. I love mine! It is fast, fast geometry, and really excellent suspension design. The only suspension that I have seen work 1/2 as well as the alpinstar is the Giant XTC with the NRS design. Anyway, this bike requires me to be very weight conscious, even with light stuff like CF nuke-proof hubs, volocity rims and misc. titanium, I am just at 28lbs. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
