Submitted by Anthony a Weekend Warrior from really cold, upsate, NY
Date Reviewed: July 31, 2002
Favorite Trail:All that I can find
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $850.00
Purchased At:Black River Adventure Shop
Strengths:Super light, handles great on the trails, doesn't bob like some others that I have ridden, good components and a reasonable price
Weaknesses:The seat is like sitting on plywood. Change that and your set. Don't try to climb steep hills with this, the gearing is definetly for a DH'er
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Stock components, Judy TT, DNM Torch coil spring with rebound adjustment rear shock
Bottom Line:I have ridden this as much as I can and it hasn't given me any problems. I raced it once and had no problems at all. Great bike for the money, super light for a FS bike.

Submitted by morphius a Weekend Warrior from falls church
Date Reviewed: December 31, 2001
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $540.00
Purchased At:rei
Strengths:awsome frame, noleen NR-2 rear shock, good components
Weaknesses:judy TT fork is soft, minimal adjustability
Bike Setup:mtn mix incl shimano components
Bottom Line:I was looking to buy another hardtail and saw this k2 on sale. I test drove it and was sold! This thing rides sweet, and for the money saved you can upgrade and customize with components of your liking. Fast, light, and the noleen nr-2 rear shock lets the bikes ride adapt to different conditions/terrain nicely.

Full suspension on a budget but not cheapo! Good X-C ride
