Weaknesses: It's a bit heavy. My 2001 small was 9lbs with the coil spring shock but it pays off in durability. from North Vancouver, B.C Date Reviewed: September 11, 2002 Strengths: Looks very beefy. Nothing compared to an ultimate free ride bike like a Banshee Scream, but solid. Beautiful construction. No brake jack. Straight seat tube. It has a "Turner" sticker on it. Weaknesses: A little pricey for what you get. Many other bikes out there that feel just as good to me on the trails up here. The hype is a little disappointing. Rear brake mounts are removable for clean look when using disc brakes. Stiff swing arm very responsive. The welds are buttery smooth and clean. Weaknesses: Goes too fast, makes you feel like a little girly man riding the brakes down a steep rutted out trail even when the bike is screaming for more! from Encinitas CA Date Reviewed: September 26, 2001 Strengths: Everything - super stiff, climbs great, never feels harsh to matter how you land, aggresive but predictable steering, out of eat sprints rewarded with lots of forward momentum and little bobbing. Weaknesses: This is nit picking but the main pivot bolt on my frame was 1 millimeter too long wich didn't allow it to sit flush on both sides. this allowed some play to develop in my rear. Not enough to be noticable on the trail but it was still there. The dudes at Turner hooked me up with new bushings and bolt and after grinding off a bit on one side of the new bolt and installing the new hardware the problem is solved.
