Favorite Trail:braille trail, demo forest
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $950.00
Purchased At:used from ebay
Strengths:Amazing ride, strong as hell, great powder coat, great bushing design, great company backing, great compatibility with modern shocks, on and on and on....
Weaknesses:It's a bit heavy. My 2001 small was 9lbs with the coil spring shock but it pays off in durability.
Similar Products Used:2007 Turner 5 spot, 2006 Turner Highline, 2001 Titus Quasi-Moto, specialized enduros of various years, specialized SX-trails of various years, Ventana La bruja, Titus moto-lite, Titus Super-moto, giant ac-1, etc, etc,
Bike Setup:Marz z150, medium weight wheels and kevlar pinch flat resistant tires.
Bottom Line:Wow, I have been riding this bike since 2004 and still love it. I put it in semi retirement in 2007 when I got new 5-spot and had a Highline but just recently revived it when I went to sell the highline and needed a big hit bike. It almost brought a tear to my eye riding it again. It just does everything right. It can blast down choppy stuff, cram into berms, jump small buildings in a single bound, etc. I used to have a pushed vanilla rc on the back with a coil spring and the bike was amazing on DH and still climbed very well but I recently put a X-fusion H3 piggy back air shock on there and it made it an even better climber and still awesome on the DH. I think I will have this bike forever. I'm gonna pass it down to my son or nephew as a family treasure some day.

Favorite Trail:GMG
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Strengths:Looks very beefy. Nothing compared to an ultimate free ride bike like a Banshee Scream, but solid. Beautiful construction. No brake jack. Straight seat tube. It has a "Turner" sticker on it.
Weaknesses:A little pricey for what you get. Many other bikes out there that feel just as good to me on the trails up here. The hype is a little disappointing.
Similar Products Used:RM-7 & 9, Switch, Stinky Dee-lux & 9, Stab & Primo, Joker, 8 Ball, VPS, Bullit, Gemini, Giant DH, Big Hit comp & DH, M-1, Uzzi DH, 222, AC-1,...umm. Store demo'd a few other good ones.
Bottom Line:Unfotunately many of the people that buy this bike will only buy it to look "cool". If you drive up the paved road to the trail head in a shiny late model SUV that you're Dad bought you with a big "Turner" sticker on the window, and a cocky and absolutely delusional idea about your skill level, then please do not buy this bike. I cannot tell how irritating this scenerio is when they're are so many totally humble rippers out there who could use a bike like this, but are on old jalopies.
To everyone else: I would say ride the RFX side by side with other bikes out there. If it feels better than a Bullit, Gemini, Joker, etc, without looking at the stickers or the price tag, then buy it.
Turner makes a great bike, deserve it.

Favorite Trail:Cold Springs
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $3700.00
Purchased At:Helen's Cycles
Strengths:Perfect freeride bike - strong, plush, stable - allows rider to go bigger and faster - climbs so well the weight (39lbs) is barely noticable. Soaks up big hits and sick drops.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Kona Stinky
Bike Setup:6" travel frame, Marz. Super T fork, Sun Rhyno-lites with XT,XT drivetrain/cranks,Atom Labs trail king pedals, RF stem & seatpost,Maxis Mobsters,Hayes discs (8" fr - 6"rear)
Bottom Line:By far the best bike I've ever been on. For hard, technical freeriding and big drops, nothing can touch it. Have ridden some of the sickest trails in CA (Tunnel,Cold Springs,G-spot) and in UT (Flying Monkey,Grafton Mesa) - the RFX consistantly performs better than I do! I find myself doing things I never thought in my ability - The RFX goes off! - Big $$$, but huge performance for your $! - Now I want a Turner XCE to replace my M4 F/S for XC! - Try a demo, there is no bike out there that rides this good.

Favorite Trail:Switzers - JPL
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Private Party
Strengths:Very nice piviot design that will keep suspension very active under braking. Rear brake mounts are removable for clean look when using disc brakes. Stiff swing arm very responsive. The welds are buttery smooth and clean.
Weaknesses:Goes too fast, makes you feel like a little girly man riding the brakes down a steep rutted out trail even when the bike is screaming for more!
Similar Products Used:Ellsworth Joker, Ellsworth ID, Giant XTC1
Bike Setup:King headset, hubs. XTR brakes, XT cranks, Mavics, WTB 2.4 fr+rr.
Bottom Line:Very nice ride. Well worth the money. Why settle for second best when you are going 30+ Mph down a washed out trail?

Favorite Trail:Anderson Truck Trail
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1500.00
Purchased At:Lucaedia Cyclery
Strengths:Everything - super stiff, climbs great, never feels harsh to matter how you land, aggresive but predictable steering, out of eat sprints rewarded with lots of forward momentum and little bobbing.
Weaknesses:This is nit picking but the main pivot bolt on my frame was 1 millimeter too long wich didn't allow it to sit flush on both sides. this allowed some play to develop in my rear. Not enough to be noticable on the trail but it was still there. The dudes at Turner hooked me up with new bushings and bolt and after grinding off a bit on one side of the new bolt and installing the new hardware the problem is solved.
Similar Products Used:Ellsworth Joker, Kona Stinky
Bike Setup:RFX frame with 6 inch travel kit, Stratos S7 fork (same travel as a Shiver and about a pound lighter), Hayes discs with 8inch rotors front and back, Hadley hubs laced to a Sun Mammoth on the rear and a Ryno Lite up front, Race face cranks, stem and riser bars, thompson seat post, XT drivtrain, ODI Lockjaw grips, IRC Kujo 2.35 tires,SDG Bel Air saddle
Bottom Line:This is the ultimate freeride frame bar none. It peddals so well you'll find yourself looking forward to climbing sections. The rear never feels harsh and when paired with a big hit fork the bike feels like it could survive anything (your body is another story). It's an exclusive bike which also adds to the "cool" factor. I catch people everywhere checking my rig out wanting to know what's up with the "Turner Burner". You could offer me any other bike in the world and I wouldn't think twice before laughing at you and riding off on my Turner to blast drops and jumps other frames only dream about. And as for the "high" price tag remember that you get what you pay for. After riding this rig everything else feels cheap and you'll understand why the slogan says "As good as a Turner? There's no such thing." This bike truly is performance made perfect.

Favorite Trail:Urban
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $1300.00
Purchased At:Turner Direct
Strengths:Construction of build. Polished frame. 6" of progressive travel. Stiff rear end. Compatibility with many forks. Nobody else has it.
Weaknesses:Waiting for the frame.
Similar Products Used:Santa Cruz Bullit, Trek VRX400, etc etc
Bike Setup:6" travel kit, Marzocchi Shiver, Profile Single chainring with dual bashguards, ISIS RF North Shore Crank, Hope C2 hydros, Mavic D321's, and XTR everything else
Bottom Line:I AM the guy that Matrix demoed the bike from. and he is right, the bike just rox. i originally had the bike with a marzocchi Z1 QR20 with a 5" kit on it, but it wasn't enough for some good drops and heinous urban riding.....so on went the shiver. it slacked the head tube angle back to about a 67.5, but it feels really stable and the steering is only marginally slower. i predominantly use the bike as an urban assault bike and trail bike, not really into the downhill scene....yet. but for my purposes, the bike kills. the craftsmanship is perfect. beautiful welds. the bottom bracket, seatstay junction, shock swing arm, and drop outs are all beautifully CNC machined. i can honestly say that i have never seen a bike that is more meticulously constructed. there is not another bike on the market right now that i would rather have than my Turner RFX. i also have a Turner Stinger which i am in love with. should you have any questions about either bikes....feel free to e mail me with any questions. later

Strengths:100%
Weaknesses:Expensive.$, but what isn't these day's !!
Similar Products Used:I owned a B-17 ---Giant atx-1 DH both with Monster-T's & several freeride hardtails with all kinds of forks !!
Bottom Line:I demoed this doods Turner rfx with a Marzocchi Shiver on it ! It's a little small for me because he's shorter.
Rear end is stiff-{didn't try it high speed although } .......Great balance with the Shiver & felt nimble; not all big & hefty..-------Very nice aluminum frame with sweet detail!....just awesome, great balance for track standing then into a wheelie drop maneuver.....................
