Date Reviewed: July 9, 2001
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:suspension to weight ratio, wicked sick construction, best long travel climbing design
Weaknesses:hmmmmmm? no complaints after a dozen and a half rides
Similar Products Used:SC superlight, bullet, super eight, sugar,i-drive,uzzi sl,
Bike Setup:vanilla rc,white bros fr-3, sram, xtr crankset, avid v's with paul love levers!,azonic shorty and bars, mavic f521's
Bottom Line:i am a cc rider who prefers the downhill but not averse to climbing. needed a bike to charge many downhills with mo' travel than the superlignt. but no pig to climb---> this is a money machine, so f'n $$$$$. does everything i want it to 50 mph dh, big drops, technical sections, and still only a few minutes behind my cc breden on the climb. not to mention the beauty of the bike fully built. red gold and green and capable of anything!!! thanks and praises to D. Turner ----> you the MAN
the only drawback i can fathom is the $$$. but if you ride everyday and have no girlfreind or can just plain afford it, but it. it rocks with its cock out!

Date Reviewed: September 5, 2000
Favorite Trail:Schultz Creek (Flagstaff)
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $2075.00
Purchased At:Edge Cyclesports
Strengths:By far the finest bike I have ever ridden. Super plush suspension, excellent handling, first rate quality of construction.
Weaknesses:Took 4 1/2 months to get...1 year warranty
Similar Products Used:I don't know about similar, but I rode a Trek Y-33 for years. No comparison. I can't believe I rode that POS for so long.
Bike Setup:19.5" frame, Red front triangle, polished rear, 5" rear travel, 5" Marzocchi Z-1, Hayes discs, Sun Rhyno-Lites, MotoRaptor 2.4's, XTR deraillers, Hayes Hugi Hubs, 747's, XT Cranks, 42,32,22, XTR 12-32 ti cassette, Thomson post, etc.
Bottom Line:I love this bike. I have only ridden it twice, but it is cleary a phenomenal machine. I am so impressed by the handling. Taking corners 5-10 mph faster, with more control. Built up, my bike checks in at 32.5 pounds (frame alone is 8.4lbs), but it pedals better uphill than my Trek did. And downhill...just amazing. Floating and gliding over everything. This bike just plain feels solid, both up hill and down. If you are looking for a do anything fun bike, buy one, you won't regret it.

Submitted by DAVID PROCIDA a Racer from LAHABRA, CA. 90631
Date Reviewed: January 14, 2000
Favorite Trail:FULLERTON LOOP
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PLAY BIKE AND WHEN SET UP FOR DOWNHILL (WITH A TRIPLECLAMP FORK AND SINGLE CHAINRING (44t)MAKES FOR AN EXCELLENT ENTRY LEVEL (BEGINNER/SPORT) RACE BIKE. IT FLAT OUT PEDALS EVEN WHEN YOU'RE TIRED IT STILL WANTS TO GO.
Weaknesses:HAVEN'T FOUND ANY AND DON'T EXPECT TO. PUT TOGETHER RIGHT THIS BIKE IS A WINNER. I'M PUTTING MY NAME ON THE LIST FOR EITHER AN O2 TO RACE CROSS COUNTRY WITH AND/OR A SUPER DAVE D-H BIKE FOR MAMMOTH.
Similar Products Used:CURRENTLY ALSO RIDE A SUPER-V 2000R CANNONDALE. I'M SELLING IT FOR THE O2. LAST YEAR I RACED A DIRT WORKS PIRANHA, A GOOD BIKE BUT A LITTLE OVERKILL FOR THE SPORT CLASS. MY RFX IS THE HOT TICKET WHEN YOU WANT A DO-EVERYTHING EXTREME RIDE.
Bike Setup:MAROCCHI SUPER T FORK (6" TRAVEL)HOPE DISC BRAKES (USER FRIENDLY)RACE FACE 170mm CRANKS, 44t SINGLE RING; A 9-SPD 11-34 COG SET, SHIMANO 112.5 BB, AZONIC COCKPIT (STEM, BARS)KING HEADSET, MAVIC WHEELS WITH NEW KENDA KOLLOSSAS 2.6 DH TIRES (EXPERIMENTAL).
Bottom Line:THIS IS THE BIKE YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IT YOU BELIEVE THAT A RACXE BIKE CAN DOUBLE AS A PLAY BIKE. I'V RIDDEN THE LOOP ON IT AND IT GOES UP HILL (ALMOST ALL OF THEM)WITHOUT TOO MUCH EFFORT, BUT WHEN IT'S TIME TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK DOWN, THERE'S NO BEATING THIS BIKE. RIDE ONE YOU'LL SEE WHY I LIKE IT SO MUCH.
