Strengths:
Wonderful bike. Meant for racing/high speed riding, NOT for hucking and jumping. Climbs incredibly well, always in a straight line. Responsive, well handling bike. Light frame, my entire bike weighs 24 lbs. Craftsmanship is outstanding, and the people at Titus bend over backward to help me out with problems and questions. Recently got a good deal on a 2003 Float R through them. Well worth the $, I think this bike will keep me happy for a long time.
Weaknesses:
Bottom bracket height is lower than my FSR. I hit many more logs on the trails here in Kentucky. Probably not a problem out west.

Bottom Line:
I love this bike. It is built like a brick s%*t house and light too. Never seen craftsmanship like this. Mine is custom. Bigger down tube,taller head tube. Cross between large and medium. I got long legs short torso. Titus built it perfect for me. This is the most nimble, best climbing, riding bike I have ever seen.Mine has optional large dia. down tube and marrzokki atom 80 which adds weight, and mine still is onlyh 25.75 lbs.I could easily get ti to 24lbs but not givib up my atom 80.Best xc bike money can buy period!! The last word!! Buy this bike if you got the bucks.

Bottom Line:
There simply isn't another bike on the market that's set up so perfectly for cross-country hammering, and climbing. Light, elegant, perfectly crafted, and beautifully finished. If the little details are important to you, or if you want to climb up sketchier stuff than ever before, or if you just want the only well designed titanium FS bike there is, get one of these. The guys at Titus will make sure you choose the perfect size, and make it to order. After getting used to the way it springs forward at the slightest pedal pressure, your old bike will feel like it's slogging through mud. The new ones have cartridge bearings at the main pivot, a slight improvement over last year, plus there is some nice new machining on the side of the shock mount. It's worth noting that the fox shock is a great choice, it works soooo good. The cable routing is also particularly well thought out. Bottom line...it will out perform your hardtail!

read my other reviews on the bike I really posted here to comment on the review that mentioned the rear der. hits the horst link. I have never seen that, just a suggestion, try screwing in your B tension screw

The frame is awesome. I've only ridden it 100 miles, but 70 were on some of my favorite trails in Moab. The stock Fox Vanilla R is easy to tune to your style(s) of riding, the frame rides and looks awesome. Beefy, yet light and, hey, its ti. I'm impressed with the frame.
Weaknesses:
Cable routing makes it difficult to get a solid grip on frame for hike a bike.

XTR V brakes, Ritchey Stem, Chris King hubs, WTB saddle, Thomson post, Ritchey Logic pedals, Salsa Flip offs, Race Face BB with ti spindles, Race Face Riser Bar. This bike came in at 23.5 lbs.
Bottom Line:
A light, ti, 3 1/2 front and rear travelin', racin' xc all dayin' sweet rig. If my opinion changes or I have more to add, I'll post more, or you can email me if you want.
