Strengths: light frame, 27.5 lbs. no play in back end after 2 years.Weaknesses: crank is heavy. Shocks are only 55mm travel.Bottom Line: The bike is great in the corners and is light enough to climb. Very little bob to back end. Takes 7 foot drops with no problem. I can't believe the back end is so tight after 2 years when my son bunny hopped it for 24/7 of the first year. The price was unbelievable but there is no hope of parts or warranty from Sunn. Who cares. This is supposed to be a cross country bike but with an upgrade to 4" on the front I can ride all the big drops because the frame is gussetted and not butted (read "weak") so it doesn't break when you slam into the bottom of a big drop. We ride in the rain all winter but there hasn't been a sqeak out of the bike's back end.

Strengths: Price, Frame: 4-Bar Susp, Horst Link, Sealed Pivots
Sunn/Sachs Wheelset(a little heavy, but mega-bombproof)
Cool stem, seatpost andWeaknesses: 55mm Travel Obsys belongs on a racing hardtail, Chainrings and cassette are heavy, seat is like a 2x4Bottom Line: You can't beat the frame investment and Sunn add-ons, I added my favorite parts and now have a $800 sweet riding full swing rig that looks AND RIDES an awful lot like a Ventana Marble Peak FS. Take the stickers off and people AND YOU will never know. Makes you wonder...............
5x5 on ratings, 1/2 the price of the competition and rides super sweet.

Strengths: Cheap since Sunn went Bankrupt
LX front 9.0 rear. 4 Bar frame can have travel dramatically increased if you machine a new swing link
-Rear shock has good adjustabilityWeaknesses: Front Shock Damping
Noisy rear shock
Crank and hubs and Cassette are cheesy to save moneyBottom Line: I love the 4 bar linkage frames for their ability to be able to have rear wheel travel upgraded. I liked downhill but was on a budget. Bought a car. This is a great deal. The frame is nice, and rides as well as the other bikes I've tried. The front shock is very race oriented only weighing 3.1 pounds so I'm going to sell it. Overall the frme is worth what I paid for it, and suprisingly the house brand components are fairly nice. This bike does have some flaws though. The shifting should be great, but poor chainrings and a cheap cassette really hurt the performance. Overal, It is a capable bike to do much anything on "Freeride", but you need to make some upgrades to make it realiable.

Bike Setup: Same except LX Rhino Lite Wheels, Magura HS 33, Built A new
swing link so it gets about 5.5" rear. Saving for a Z-1 or X-Vert.

Strengths:
Fairly Light BoingerWeaknesses:
Front ShockBottom Line: Great Frame! I was looking at a Jamis Dakar, but went for this. A complete bike for the Jamis' frame price. Its Made in France, GR8 Econo X-Country ride, the parts are OK. The Obsys air fork it comes with is Junk & the squeaky Rear Coil is Ok. It climbs well & it only weighs 1 lbs more than my Hardtail. It started out as a loaner & a bike to have low buck goofs with & quickly became My favorite Ride. Now if I could just stop upgrading Both Bikes! 5 chilies for price & performance
