Strengths:    Bombproof, climbs well for 37 pounds. Single pivot means no bringing it into the shop to be fixed--cheap USA frame

Weaknesses:    Can't put a 2.7 tire in the rear

Bottom Line:
This bike rules for freeriding. and if you like to climb it does that to. I'm not winning any races but I'm not entering any either. I'm 230 pounds and this bike does a 7 foot wheelie drop and does not complain at all.

Please help me with my new bullit. I am 5'9" and am not sure weather or not to go with a large or medium. I ride a large heckler right now but the bullit large is a little different. PLEASE SEND ME YOUR BULLIT PICS WITH A SHORT DESCRIPTION. I AM MAKING A WEB SITE JUST FOR BULLITS AND YOUR BIKE WILL BE FEATURED.

Strengths:    6-8 foot drops are soft as butter, great climber for the weight, bomb proof

Weaknesses:    None

Bottom Line:
Get one and stop being a X-country wussy! This bike is great for everthing, but really long XC rides. If you want to have fun all over the hill and get into freeriding on a bike you'll never out skill this is it.Only XC and Downhill racers should be riding something else!

Strengths:    The bike is exceptional with no design flaws. The frame itself is the best valued bike on the free ride market. The travel is perfect yet it is extremely light for a free ride bike. Uphill climbs are not taxing like most free ride or downhill bikes.

Weaknesses:    Could not find one if I wanted.

Bottom Line:
I seriously do not think you will find a bike better than this one for the money. Hairy Gary is the best Downhill bike on the market but price wise the Bullit is superior. Plus the Santa Cruz company itself is worth a million bucks in case you need anything.

Strengths:    The bike handles exceptionally well in the rough hairy areas. Very solid feel and looks fantastic.

Weaknesses:    Pedal feedback while pedaling hard through rocky flats and inclines.

Bottom Line:
Great bike which is definitely geared toward heavy downhill riding. It can climb but not very well over the course of a long ride - you will fatigue much quicker!! If you're thinking of a freeride bike, be sure you're not using it for climbing, b/c it is not as enjoyable as say a 4" travel bike that can climb much more efficiently. Overall, my biggest complaint is the pedal feedback felt when pounding the rocky flats and gradual inclines. Hopefully I'll work that kink out soon.

Strengths:    This bike is strong, has a good amount of suspension, climbs pretty damn well for a "big bike" and best of all fast as balls!

Weaknesses:    Right now i am having trouble with the shifting. Other that that nathan.

Bottom Line:
The last bike i had was a great cross country bike but all the people i ride started buying bikes with more suspension and slacker geometry. As the rides became more and more technical i realized i needed a bike that could keep up and handle the punishment. This is a very sweet bike. I spent a while trying to find the right bike. I was considering spending twice as much on a different frame (dare, intense, turner) but i decided to save and i went for the bullit. It jams.

Strengths:    An excellent blend of XC and DH capabilities. This bike rides reasonably well uphill and tears it up downhill. It's allowed me to ride at a much higher level without that much practice. I'm going almost twice as fast downhill now, and I'm cleaning trails I was afraid to ride with my old rig.

Weaknesses:    Sometimes it ghost shifts, although I think I've adjusted most of that out now. At 30.5 lbs. it's a mite heavy, but still much lighter than a DH rig.

Bottom Line:
If you want a DH bike that rides nice uphill, this is it. If you want to instantly become a much better rider, get this bike.

Strengths:    THIS BIKE CAN DO EVERYTHING QUITE WELL. I CAN CLIMB ON IT, I CAN DO BIG STEEP GNARLY DROP INS, OR I CAN JUST RIP UP SOME FAST BUFF SINGLETRACK.

Weaknesses:    I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY YET.

Bottom Line:
WE RIDE A LOT OF STEEP GNARLY ROCK AND ROOT INFESTED TERRAIN HERE IN THE VALLEY, AND THIS BIKE WAS MADE FOR THIS PLACE. IF I WANT TO DO BIG DROPS IT CAN HANDLE THEM BETTER THAN I CAN. WITH 6 INCHES OF TRAVEL IT WILL ABSORB ANYTHING. IT'S NOT TO HEAVY AND PIG LIKE LIKE A FULL BORE DH BIKE BUT IT DOESN'T FLINCH FROM THAT KIND OF RIDING EITHER. THIS IS THE BEST BIKE I HAVE EVER HAD THE JOY TO RIDE.

Strengths:    It looks cool with my boyfriend on it. It looks very bad-ass.

Weaknesses:    His name is Justin (I'm just kidding)

Bottom Line:
My boyfriend bought this bike and he really seems to like it. We got in a fight the other day because he went riding instead of hanging out with me. His bike is actually the Super X component option, not the XTR. I think it really looks cool. Sometimes he lowers the seat and makes me ride it, but it is a medium and is consequently too big for me and i feel unsafe on it. However, the suspension feels really, really good. It isn't hard on my ass. Well, if we get in any more fights because of this bike I will be sure to post them on this page! He left a review of the frame in the frame section of this site. I'd recommend this bike because it doesn't have problems like his friend's (McGwire's) brother's Intense M1.
