Strengths: Everything! This bike totally rocks! It's is my first full suspension (or any suspension at all, for that matter), and I couldn't have asked for more - especially for the price! No buyers remorse! Initially I didn't want to spend even $600 on a bike, but after shopping around, I realized that that's what a decent bike would cost, at bare minimum. I'm thrilled with my little splurge - it was completely worth it!Weaknesses: I'm not used to such a light bike - but that's not a problem with the bike - that's just me; I'll have to adjust! :) I also have some bob when going uphill, but I think I just need to learn to adjust the rear suspension - even with that it still climbs like a billy goat on steroids!Bottom Line: This bike completely rocks! I recommend it to absolutely anybody! I never believed that the bike made that much difference - I always thought it was the biker, but after the Spice - let me tell you - I am a changed woman! I have never biked this well in my whole life - and I can attribute that change to nothing but the bike! It's is comfortable, extremely lightweight, climbs like nothing else, fast, easy to ride, and makes mountain biking an absolute dream! Buy this bike - you won't be sorry! It's perfect! I hope my fiance doesn't want to see me too often! Kidding! But I am going to be on the hills as much as possible! I give this bike 10 flamin' chilis - even if MTBR won't let me! :)

Strengths: Agile and versatile. Feels very efficient when pedaling...no noticable bob even on climbs and sprints. Beautiful welds and paint. Even sitting side by side with my Stumpjumper hardtail the craftmanship of this Rocky shines.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: This bike is a blast to ride and pretty enough to display in your living room when you get home. As a recovering roadie and hard-tail advocate I like the efficient feel...but the crazy downhiller in me loves the nimble and able descending it allows me to enjoy in the rock-filled downhiller's paradise I live in. I bought this bike for a criminally low price at the end of last season and think it is well worth what I paid for the frame alone. Rocky Mountain's craftmanship and attention to detail are amazing. I love this bike!

Strengths: Great frame, the Fox rear shock is plush and easily adjustable. Can't go wrong if buying this frame and planning to upgrade later.Weaknesses: Deore brakes aren't the bestBottom Line: The best bang for your buck, i have had no problems with this bike, only good times. Rides better than a handful of bikes that i have tested with price tags over 500.00 more than the spice. Great frame that is truely worthy of upgrades as you can afford it.

Strengths: I've has this bike on all sorts of terrain and it rides like a dream - smooths out the small stuff yet can still take the bigger hits. Great traction on the climbs due to the rear suspension. Stiff on windy singletrack. Makes six-hour rides over rocky terrain much more do-able.Weaknesses: Already replace stem, seatpost, handlebars, and cranks but the frame is MORE THAN WORTH the upgrades. I had to go with a stiffer coil spring than Fox suggests for my wieght to get the feel I wanted. It is not a racing machine in my opinion.Bottom Line: This is a great bike! You may be looking at a few upgrades down the road (or trail in this case). I didn't have a lot of cash when I made the purchase and have slowly upgraded it into my dream bike. The 3-D link and suspension design have proven themselves worthy of their reputation. I'll be a Rocky Mountain rider as long as I'm on two wheels.

Strengths: great pric e for a handbuilt easton elite frame. suspension subtle, but works great. Anything built for the North Shore must be able to handle flat florida with ease.Weaknesses: coil on vanilla r a little light. Serious down spec on brakes.Bottom Line: How can you go wrong with a handbuilt Easton fs elite frame.
I would recommend this bike to anyone starting out. Or to anyone on a budget that wants to do upgrades along the way. The spice is the same frame as the element and the team.
