$150.00 | | Purchased At: | friend | | Strengths: | Light, Good geometry, Low standover height, A great all mountain, agressive xc frame. | | Weaknesses: | Today the frame broke where the front triangle meets the bottom bracket shell, now the frame is garbage DANG! The pivot came loose and I paid 50$ to fix it a year ago. | | Similar Products Used: | My other softtail is a trek vrx 400, it is a stronger frame than this one, I hope. | | Bike Setup: | Manitou x vert t fork, Avid V brakes, Rhyno lites wrapped in rokkos, Lx drivetrain, Dh bar+stem | | Bottom Line: | My frame broke while I was doing a 2 foot stair drop to flat concrete (it was supposed to be a wheelie drop), It looks like it may have had about a 1 inch crack at the top of the down tube where it connects to the bb shell for a while before the rest of the down tube snapped off. When it broke I heard it crack and felt it give but I kept riding for a minute because the broken frame just rested on itself for a while. If I was doing a bigger drop at the top of Mt Manuel Quimper, I would be badly injured, crawling down the mountain for hours, dragging my broken bike and probably, eventually picked off by cougars, bears and then turkey vultures. It could have been worse, I guess I only paid 150 for the frame alone so I didn't lose too much, but I loved this bike while it lasted. I ride agressive xc and light freeride, I don't avoid jumps, stunts and drops but I don't go huge either. Bottom line is it's a great bike for light stuff but keep an eye out for cracks and go a little easy on it, I find it hard to believe that some other posters are using this frame for real downhill riding. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1100.00 | | Purchased At: | bike shop | | Strengths: | everything but below | | Weaknesses: | tektro discs-could be better, but still good needs more than a jett | | Similar Products Used: | 2000 screamer, mackenzie | | Bike Setup: | everything stock-deore, jett, tektro discs, axiom post stem handlebar... | | Bottom Line: | a great bike, no complaints but the discs, wish i got it earlier before the grimecas ran out, which were what was originally spec'd, along with a fox vanilla shock, replaced with an Xfusion... havent broken anything on it yet, and im definately not the lightest rider and easiest on a bike. who should buy it? one who doesnt have alot of money but needs a great bike. who shouldnt buy it? extreme freeriders | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1149.00 | | Purchased At: | Norco Factory, Vancouver | | Strengths: | It goes up... goes down... and eats up everything between. a very light resonsive frame.soaks up down hill pounds and has little bobbing. standover hieght kicks ass. disc brakes | | Weaknesses: | Like common... Jetts... this bike deserves better... there alright for xc riding but they die on the freeriding and fast downhill hits. Tektro discs not really name brand but they work and look sweet | | Similar Products Used: | Gt idrive | | Bike Setup: | Jetts, Xfusion shock, tektro mech disc, Avid levers, victor flat pedals, Axiom stem bar post, shimano cranks deore front changer shifters, and kenda tires | | Bottom Line: | 100% canadian performance at a great price. its light fast and agile. it could use a little bit of upgrade such as marzocchi bombers, fox vanilla or float, but ya get what ya pay for. dam straight aye? | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
