Date Reviewed: February 22, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $800.00
Purchased At:private seller
Strengths:rugged frame incredibly strong
Weaknesses:tire clearance
Bike Setup:Completly different front end. JT 150mm, Shimano Decore Disc brake.
Bottom Line:Great bike nothing wrong with it except tire clearance, but one tire size smaller (currently 3.20] would make all the difference.

Favorite Trail:Waterdown East Side
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $4000.00
Purchased At:Factory Direct
Strengths:no flex, lots of travil, almost zero peadal fead back, unbreakable, smooth travil, awsome parts spec.
Weaknesses:crap rims, dumb ass stem (that aways moves on me when i do 10 foot plus drops), but other than that, u cant beat it.
Similar Products Used:the vps family, santa cruze bulit, brodie 8 ball, Giant dh bike, balfa.
Bike Setup:pritty much stock : super t's, funn stem and bar, grip shift 9.0, hayes 8", fox rear shock. Things i changed : profile cranks!! mavic d521 rims, and gazzilodi tiers.
Bottom Line:the bomb. cant beat it. it makes a sweet ass freeride hucker bike, and yet i can still race it dh and win. it is not huge, but not small. eats all american bikes alive.

Submitted by Trevor a Downhiller from Prince George, BC, Canada
Date Reviewed: July 15, 2001
Favorite Trail:Learn to Fly
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Tough as hell-has a tendency to make you feel like superman. Handles better than a squirrel monkey too. Gotta love the Super-T, North Shore cranks and ESP shifting.
Weaknesses:Those rims suck ass...not completely, but I hate them. For the cost of the bike I won't be replacing them for a while, but make damn sure your spokes are tight cuz they fold like nobody's business if there's the slightest bit of slack in even one spoke. Also check your cranks every ride cuz they have a bad habit of coming loose. DMR chainguide has a wimpy roller arm that likes to bend and make your chain skip, which is a huge piss-off when there's lotsa mosquitos around.
Similar Products Used:2000 Norco VPS 2, RM Pipeline, RM6, Kona Stab
Bike Setup:Pretty much stock except for new rubber(the motoraptors aren't bad but they wash out way too easy)-next year this bike will see the team DH linkage, doublewides and a bigger fork(not sure which one yet).
Bottom Line:A killer deal. This bike eats up anything. Don't buy this bike unless you live in BC-the gearing and setup are perfect up here but will suck ass if you're gonna race DH or if you live in places like California etc...but man, this bike is awesome.

Favorite Trail:flying circus
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $4800.00
Purchased At:cyclepath
Strengths:everything, wheelies, drops, dirt jumps, down hills, run offs, trials (althoough mushy) this bike will do it all, stiff frame, no flex, awsome warrenty, super t's with super heavy springs ++++ helps on those 12 footers
Weaknesses:*poopy* chain guide, neva keeps te chain on, and i broke the rear swing arm on a 7 footer = ( , but it was fixed promtly
Similar Products Used:bullit, big hit fsr pro, kona stab(sux), brodie 8ball, devinci max, uzzi slx, brodie devo, gt dhi, and all its vps bro's
Bike Setup:super t's, better team dh swing arm for more tire clearance and travel, double wide rims, bigger tires( stock 2.4) and hard grips
Bottom Line:this is a hard core canadian, american eating bike, it eats north shore like it were cake (hence the name), super stiff zero flex frame, weighs alot (i mean alot) but climbs better than ur neighborhood xc bike, bike rox, best birthday present ever!!!!
