Strengths:    Very versatile. Perfect Agressive xc frame. Not heavy for this type of riding.

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
I bought this frame and rear shock used because I had heard it was an excellent bike. It hasn't disapointed. I ride it very hard, and am 200lbs. Obviously not as good as a hardtail for climbing, but for all around xc use and abuse, it's great. It is very good on descents and fills you full of confidence. If you see a used one in good condition, grab it.

Strength

Weaknesses:    Weight

Bottom Line:
Sweet, smooth ride; little heavy, can't beat it for the price range. Suprisingly good DH and great XC. Bottle cage should sell a lot of Camelbacks.

Strengths:    it's a Norco.

Weaknesses:    Makes a funky, snappy noise.

Bottom Line:
This bike kickes ass, I have 0 complaints except for the snappy noise that I can't figure out were it comes from. And I got it for $1650 Can. on clearout. It's an excellent XC/light duty freeride bike.

Strengths:    Well, its white & has big mother decals. The frame weighs about 8 lbs (but yet it was put on a serious diet... ok).Seriously, the Z-2 Atom was wicked, the Fox solid, Avid 4.0 ruled, it climbed up monsterous hills like mad ... that is up the chair-lift.

Weaknesses:    Too beefy for this homeboy. On a sidenote: holes wear far to easily during transport.........

Bottom Line:
For the 6 months I owned the bike, I decided that it was totally wack... It may have been a little on the heavy side but it sure gets the looks! (thumbs up on the frame design). The shock ruled and I will never change back to a F$%#in SID... For those of you who think that I am smashing this bike, it was still good enough to finish 3rd in Senior Expert (so suck on my chocolate covered salty peaNUTS........) And just because I've ordered the INTENSE TRACER doesn't mean that I'm DRUNK.

Strengths:    (Mine is a 2000 as well) Light, strong, looks good, lots of travel

Weaknesses:    Water bottle is in a funny place

Bottom Line:
I really like the bike. It is light and you don't bounce like my old hardtail, you float. I have been a die hard Norco fan since I bought my '93 Bush Pilot. I needed something that would stand up to the way I ride. Norco stands up, and does not disappoint. However I must say that I can't give it 5 chilli's cause I have only had it for a week.
If you want a dream ride for a good price, go for the bike. She comes out to about 2800 Can, so it is not cheap, and is a great way to have some fun and stay in shape. I think it is worth enery penny.

Strengths:
Very competitive price
Design and proportions
Very stiff frame
High quality components

Weaknesses:
Waterbottle mounts are useless.
To heavy.
Clearence of tires is to low

Bottom Line:
After a year on my Raleigh I want to switch to a FS bike. The most competitive deal was the XCS-1.
All other bikes in that class are overpriced.
I never switch back to a HT bike.
High quality frame construction.

Strengths:
Price point when you compare the componets on this bike to other bikes in the same calss

Weaknesses:
The water bottle mounts are useless

Bottom Line:
I compared this bike to the other's in it's calss and was able to make a sweetest deal on the Norco. Norco does not have a name in Cross country bikes and I think they are trying to get some market exposure. I,m over 6' and 200 LBS and I found the bike a pleasure to ride. I have not had it long but first impressions are very good.
Prospective buyers should give this bike a serious ride and not be sold on one of the better brand names just because of reputation. Take a look at the componets you are buying and let the ride and price cobined be the deciding factors. The only big drawback I can see so far are the water bottle mounts ( what were they thinking )? I have not had the opportunity to ride hard yet but I realy like the bike. I can't go over 4 stars as I have not ridden it enough yet.
