Product Description

The VPS Shore is a local’s favorite. Reinforcements all around with the Team DH’s down tube and typical VPS gusseting in key areas including the seat mast and head –tube regions. With a parts selection that leaves little to upgrade, the VPS Shore is the shore riders dream bike come true. A new chain stay is 24/26 compatible and connects to a new 12 mm slotted dropout with durable cartridge bearings. A new seat mast accommodates a 2 inch stroke FOX shock that delivers 4.5-6.1 inches of travel. To accommodate this increase in travel, Norco is one of the only companies to spec the new Marzocchi Super-T free ride fork. This 6" travel fork is perfectly matched to the VPS Shore’s increase in ultra-plush suspension travel. Vuelta X-Caliber free-ride rims are super strong and are much more resistant to pinch-flatting than other rims. The riders demanded them and so we put ‘em on dual 8" rotor Hayes brakes provide the ultimate control, cooling and reliability in all conditions. Race Face NSXS splined cranks and B/B provide a positive interface to wheelie-drop and the impact strength to survive them. A DMR chain guide helps keep the drive train in order.

Strengths:    oh ya! 6" of smooth vps travel! A really nice frame!! Totaly a tank(weight is good for shore!!)

Weaknesses:    well- its not quite a tank!! I've ridden the thing for 3 months and I've already killed the chainstays(an ungly freakin crack)-they could be a bit beefier

Bottom Line:
A killer bike! Even though the stays cracked, they were replaced by warranty. Will take an extreme beatin' The prices are nice too! anyone looking for a killer shore bike should take one for a test ride!

Strengths:    Smooth, accurate descender...just point and shoot. Though bulky, this rig is easily thrown around with a little muscle. 8' drops onto flats are childs play with this badazz. I'm lovin' just about everything so far.

Weaknesses:    Pivots prone to create access play or fail under extreme loads.(no surprise though) Lower swing arms could be beefed up. Some noticable flex, nothing too discouraging.
Do not break seat post or derailler hanger. Seat post is 30.0 mm, a pain in the azz to find or order, hanger takes forever to get, I'm still waiting.

Bottom Line:
Killer hucker designed for those silly mofos crazy enough to damn near kill themselves for a good time. I love this ride, no really I do. On this rig all u need is some balls, minimal intelligence, and a sick drop off to provide hours on end with good times and great memories. Do your self a favour and buy something that will leave u truly pleased, no regrets, no worries.

Strengths:    Bought Frame and fork, Much Quiter mono-frame than last years, Better bearings in 3 of the 4 pivots, longer stroke shock this year aswell so you don't feel like you'll bottom it out any more.awesome Blue paint job!I like the 150mm of travel out of the Super-T

Weaknesses:    The Q/R 20mm on the Super-T. There's nothing quick about it.

Bottom Line:
I don't think you can compare any bike on price that can handle the same terrain. If you want to get into big hit DH riding, and if you think you can't afford it. I'd strongly recommend looking into the Shore complete, or frame set. There super cheap!
