Submitted by mike a Downhiller from the north shore
Date Reviewed: June 7, 2001
Favorite Trail:anything shore
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:oh ya! 6" of smooth vps travel! A really nice frame!! Totaly a tank(weight is good for shore!!)
Weaknesses:well- its not quite a tank!! I've ridden the thing for 3 months and I've already killed the chainstays(an ungly freakin crack)-they could be a bit beefier
Similar Products Used:99 vps 2
Bike Setup:z1 qr20-hayes hydro 8"
Bottom Line:A killer bike! Even though the stays cracked, they were replaced by warranty. Will take an extreme beatin' The prices are nice too! anyone looking for a killer shore bike should take one for a test ride!

Submitted by dhphreak a Downhiller from ontario, canada
Date Reviewed: May 1, 2001
Favorite Trail:anything in the downward direction
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Ziggy's cycle/spokes n slopes
Strengths:Smooth, accurate descender...just point and shoot. Though bulky, this rig is easily thrown around with a little muscle. 8' drops onto flats are childs play with this badazz. I'm lovin' just about everything so far.
Weaknesses:Pivots prone to create access play or fail under extreme loads.(no surprise though) Lower swing arms could be beefed up. Some noticable flex, nothing too discouraging.
Do not break seat post or derailler hanger. Seat post is 30.0 mm, a pain in the azz to find or order, hanger takes forever to get, I'm still waiting.
Similar Products Used:Kona stab deelux
Bike Setup:monster T, MRP world cup, 3.0/2.6 gazz, xt, xt, azonic hammer, vanilla rc
Bottom Line:Killer hucker designed for those silly mofos crazy enough to damn near kill themselves for a good time. I love this ride, no really I do. On this rig all u need is some balls, minimal intelligence, and a sick drop off to provide hours on end with good times and great memories. Do your self a favour and buy something that will leave u truly pleased, no regrets, no worries.

Submitted by k-gee a Racer from B.C.
Date Reviewed: April 26, 2001
Favorite Trail:any DH trail on Thornhill Mtn
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1800.00
Purchased At:All Seasons
Strengths:Bought Frame and fork, Much Quiter mono-frame than last years, Better bearings in 3 of the 4 pivots, longer stroke shock this year aswell so you don't feel like you'll bottom it out any more.awesome Blue paint job!I like the 150mm of travel out of the Super-T
Weaknesses:The Q/R 20mm on the Super-T. There's nothing quick about it.
Similar Products Used:2000 VPS-2, Tried a Bullitt, and felt a Stinky Deluxe, Norco launch.
Bike Setup:Super-t forks,Race Face Cranks,B.B,headset,Kooka bash ring ,Frnt derailer,8" Hayes,Maxxis 2.5 Swampthing's,Gripshift.
Bottom Line:I don't think you can compare any bike on price that can handle the same terrain. If you want to get into big hit DH riding, and if you think you can't afford it. I'd strongly recommend looking into the Shore complete, or frame set. There super cheap!
