Submitted by THOMAS PALOMO a Weekend Warrior from FAIRFIELD,CA U.S.
Date Reviewed: January 16, 2000
Favorite Trail:TAMARANCHO
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:A GOOD SOLID FRAME, GOOD GEOMETRY DESIGNED TO CLIMB.
HANDLES DOWNHILLS VERY GOOD TRACKS ALINE GOOD. FAST IF YOU CAN RIDE ALL.
Weaknesses:FRONT SHOCK AND THE BRAKES NOT THE BEST. SEAT SUCKS.
Similar Products Used:SPECIALIZED,TREK,UNIVEGA.HARO,K2
Bike Setup:STOCK EXCEPT FOR SEAT (SPECIALIZED),FORK (ROCSHOCK)JUDY XC
REAR DERAILER (SHIMANO) XT, PEADLES TIME ATAC.
Bottom Line:I CAN BEAT GUYS WITH 2,000 TO 3,000 DOLLAR BIKES ON GOOD DAYS AND STAY WITH THEM ON BAD ONES. YOUR ALWAYS GOING TO CHANGE PARTS OUT REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU RIDE. WAIT FOR SALES AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO INVEST MUCH. IT'S NOT WHAT YOU RIDE, IT'S HOW YOU RIDE. LET EVERYONE ELSE SPEND THE MONEY AND YOU CAN LAUGH AS YOU PASS THEM BY. BOTTOM LINE, JUST RIDE!!!
NISHIKI THANKS FOR THE GREAT RIDE AND KEEPING US RIDERS ON A BUDGET IN MIND.
