Strengths: Great bike for the price, I upgraded a few things (clipless pedals, brake handles, tires, etc.) but so far has taken everything I can throw at it. Gotta love the lifetime warranty on the frame.Weaknesses: Heavier than others, but not the heaviest by far. Rear shcok sucks and front adjustment limited.Bottom Line: Good deal overall, preforms pretty good stock.

Strengths: priceWeaknesses: parts and rear suspensionBottom Line: good bang for buck as the others say. I learnt a lot about mtb's with this bike. Good for the first one. If your a serious rider then keep away. The rear suspension sucks the life out of your power. Comparatively heavy bike to others, for the money not too bad. All in all, ok bike. Unless its your first, pay the cash and buy a real bike. Go hardtail and get a much better bike. Unless your a serious downhiller, theres no need for a full suspension. If its for comfort go to nashbar and buy a cheap suspension post. Their much more worth while and dont destroy climbing and peddle power.

Strengths: Overall, a really sturdy bike-- Ridden it in every kind of conditions possible, and has held up well.Weaknesses: Front shock is a bit squishy- even for those under 200lbs. And the rear derailleur skips and shifts when you don't want it to.Bottom Line: For the money- you can't beat it. I've drilled this thing for a year with only little problems that I'm sure everyone has dealt with, even with more expensive "better" bikes. And despite it's weaknesses, I'd make the same purchase choice. I'd recommend this bike to anyone getting into riding and those with some experience-- anyone over that skill level would probably be frustrated with making all the upgrades required for them, so they should look in the higher bracket of bikes.

Strengths: Best bang for the buck, you just can't beat the price for a full suspension with mid-range components. This a great bike for downhill technical trails, the suspension and weight keep you on the ground and in control.Weaknesses: The weight, too heavy. Not as heavy as most low end full suspension bikes but heavy enough to notice. The front fork that comes standard with this model is weak too, but for the price you can still upgrade consider yourself saving money.Bottom Line: Like the topic suggests, bottom line best bang for the buck. I would definitely recommend Motobecane full suspension bikes but not there ridged frames; the price is lowend and so is the bike.

Strengths: Rear Suspension is very good, Great Price, very durableWeaknesses: the parts that came with it are mixed and matched. the front suspension wasn't great, but okay for an entry level riderBottom Line: The frame is great. The parts can be upgrated once I get more hard-core, but it handles well and can take the punishment I give it. I'd easily recommend it for a person who is an entry-level to medium experienced rider.

Strengths: Good frame, all aluminum including rear triangle. Great value for the money. Components OK for light duty. I paid $440 total which isn't bad but one recently sold on ebay for $302+shipping.Weaknesses: Rear shock is questionable. Bike is a tad heavy but not bad.This bike cannot be dogged as it comes from the factory; would need seriously upgraded componentry.Bottom Line: Great bike for beginner or experienced rider who is not into anything too extreme. Beginner can easily upgrade as skill level is built. If you can get this bike for $300-400 you will not be disappointed. I bought a 1998 Giant Warp DS-2 new and I loved it (some a-hole in Oakland stole it right off my van); this bike is very similar. Five chillis for value and three overall.

Strengths: Lifetime warranty on frame and welds. came with great components,and for $600.00 I feel is the absolute best bike for the money. It rides and handles great. the fully ajustable suspension enables you to ride whatever terrain you prefer; be it road,trails, or the really rough stuff.Weaknesses: the only weaknesses i see is that the bike is not the lightest , but it is not the heaviest either. the other weakness is not really one that is the fault of motobecane. and that is, the front shocks are too soft for a heavier rider like myself, so I intend to change out the springs to accomodate all of my 205lbsBottom Line: absolutely satisfied with the bike, and like I said before, you can't beat it for the money. The dealers name is Cycle Spectrum.
Favorite Trail: Huntsville State Park
