Strengths:    Great durable frame. I ride hard, bike can take a beating and still maintain its cool, handles well. Good upper mid-level bike, great value for the bucks...at $775 was a STEAL!! Thinking about buying another for my wife.

Weaknesses:    I'm thinking about upgrading the front fork, it is fairly decent now, but for those perfectionists a new fork is probably in this bikes future.

Bottom Line:
Bottom line, for the price this bikes more than holds up its name. If you ride 3-5 times a week hard, this will do you justice. If you ride less, you'll have a bike you can grow with. If you find it for $800 or less, it is money well spent. Very sturdy, lighter frame so you can feel good about upgrade your components.

Strengths:    Solid Frame and overall good components for my type of riding.

Weaknesses:    Cheap Forks

Bottom Line:
Just a follow-up review from last spring. I have had several requests by readers who wanted to know how much I paid and where I purchased the bike, so it is listed above. I have ordered new forks, but I also had to order a new headset and stem because the one that came with the bike is a threaded headset and most of the new forks are for threadless headsets. No big deal, if you shop on-line at Pricepoint.com or Jensons, or Supergo.com it's easy to find these components relatively cheap. Good bike buy for the weekend warrior like myself who plans to gradually upgrade components (when Santa comes). I ride twice a week on the average.

Strengths:    A great base unit, versatile, stable, compatable, upgradable, light, and a very nice ride especially with an upgraded fork. if you want great quality at a good price this is a great bike!

Weaknesses:    maybe a nicer front fork, but at this price for a dual suspension pretty good. very picky folks might want better components, but if you ride 3 times a week going on hard trails, rivers, etc., you should be fine and happy.

Bottom Line:
Is this, you want a great mid-level dual suspension ride to go thrashing with or riding in the country --this is your bike. motobecane has the name to back the product, good components, and nice ride, you won't be disappointed unless you are dreaming of that $4000+ bike and hoping this will fulfill that dream. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR THE PRICE!!!

Strengths:    Durable aluminum frame, good warranty, good bike to upgrade later on.

Weaknesses:    Cheap forks, Suntour SR 6200.

Bottom Line:
Good bike for the type of wooded trails I ride several times a week. I plan on upgrading the front suspension when I have extra bucks to spend. As I said, the bike is well worth upgrading with better components because of its durability.
