Strengths:    Very strong frame doesn't even look like breaking my formula disc brake works as good as hayes hydralic it's just that some are good, some suck and you have to set them up properly.

Weaknesses:    It's heavy for a cross country bike and bouces a bit much but an air shock with lock out could that.

Bottom Line:
Good stong frame but should have bought a hard-tail as I'm a cross country rider but for what it is it's exellent

Strengths:    Plenty of travel up front good driventre & the Judy xc's are a really good fork

Weaknesses:    Weight you look at the diff in weight commpered to others and I didnt it would make that much diffrence to the preformance of the bike but the diff when climing is a big change from a hardtail. And the fomulas are crap

Bottom Line:
Good bike Very good spec for price (exepet disc brake)Weight is a problem but really not to bad

Strengths:    Rockshox xc forks, frame, components

Weaknesses:    Tires, sadle and the wellgo clipless pedals (not my thing)

Bottom Line:
Sweet as bike. Great handling. The suspesion soaks up bumps ohh so well! Great bike, stands up to my type of riding. not for serious DH lovers, but a good all rounder. Can be a little noisy in the back but nothing too serious. A great all rounder. Great for the dosh!

Strengths:    Plush ride; Corners fantastically; tough frame; Looks great!

Weaknesses:    I've seen shoe horns bigger than the saddle that came on this thing! Noisy on rough downhills. The Wal-Mart thing.

Bottom Line:
This bike is perfect for the kind of riding I do - mainly rough grass trails (the nearest "real" trail is 80 miles from here - and it does great on those, too). It eliminates all the small bumps & dips, and it bounces over the big stuff without throwing me off on the rebound. I can stay in the saddle over almost anything. Trails that would beat me to death on a hardtail feel almost like smooth dirt, but I don't feel disconnected from the trail by the suspension. The bike handles very well - it excels at rough, fast downhills & corners. I don't know if the components would survive gonzo downhill racing, though.
For the money, it seems like a very good quality bike. The frame seems a little overly-elaborate, & all that hollow metal amplifies any noise the bike makes, but it looks like it will last forever - the welds are immaculate & the tubes are big & strong. It's the kind of frame that will last through many component upgrades.
I give it 5 chilis for value, but 4 overall because everywhere I look there are Wal-Mart Mongooses (Mongeese?) that reduce the value of mine.

Strengths:    Light bike, great trail and rock bike. No issue related to qualtiy.

Weaknesses:    Disk break in front sucks....what was the buyer thinking when they decided to purchase Formula disk. Front forks are heavy. Mongoose service is a mystery?

Bottom Line:
This bike has performed without any trouble. The cost for this bike was right 1100.00. You can purchase a much more expensive bike and get much less for your hard earned money. I am happy with this bike after moving on from GT. Bike tackles hills like a giant. Lots of fun and for half the cost of others with same components. I cant wait for the next Mongoose NX series. Buy this bike!
