Very fast on flat or rolling terraine. Road this bike for my first Leadville 100; after 100 grueling miles..still loved it! | | Weaknesses: | You'll just wanta buy more Ti parts. The Hutchinson tires that came with it really sucked. However, this bike just wears out tires climbing. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek Y2K, Fat Chance Wicked | | Bike Setup: | full XT, Manitou elite Mars, Thomson. WTB Velociraptors | | Bottom Line: | If you can find these $3400 bikes at a discount, buy one. Tried all the newer full suspension bikes and they road like tanks (in the 2000-2500 range). You'll have to spend over 4K to get an equivalent ride. I'm a part time roadie and this bike but the fun back into mountainbiking.
