Strengths:    Very plush rear suspension, I really can't make it bob under normal climbing. The attention to detail is astounding! The Service is awsome. You deal directly with Devin himself!

Weaknesses:    As of yet is doesn't use needle bearings for the main pivot. A redesign is on the way though.

Bottom Line:
A very sweet, trick looking, well designed all-mountain bike. The attention to detail is amazing! The "Concentrilink" rear suspension delivers as promised.

Strengths:    Looks gorgeous, Light, seems strong, NICE ride, great customer service. Ummm. Looks gorgeous. TRULY Unique ride and love the BB pivot point.

Weaknesses:    No rear derailleur hanger, if you screw up the ALUMINUM threads on the frame, what then?? Not sure about newer models. This one is a coupla years old. Pricey.

Bottom Line:
I post this at the risk of sounding like an ad. The review before this has got to be. I am a "real consumer." Anyways...

Even with the old Fox Alps 5r this bike rode nice. Compliant, in contol and good feedback. Replaced with a Stratos Helix Expert and it's the best ride I've rode in 8 years of MTB'ing.

The rear brake is in harm's way of muck and mire but at least there's no frame flex. Rear brake is way better than on most frames due to it's attachment on the beefy swingarm instead of thinner stays, but I can foresee big problems in the mud. Solution is to get a disc, yes, but I will leave it how it is for now. It's got disc mounts, BTW.

I called them to ask some questions and the owner, Mr. Lenz himself seems to aleays have time to answer the phone and my questions! A truly unique experience for ANY product.

Great attention to detail and I love the simple, elegant design. I would have never been able to afford one, but that's where MTBR classifieds comes in!

Ahead of it's time, in a good way. Thanks, Devon Lenz

Strengths:    I built up a 4" travel Lenzsport at slightly above 27lbs. This bike smooths out all the rocky teeth rattling descents that are common in this area. It climbs good and handles superbly on tight singletracks. This is a very tough yet lightweight frame. Outstanding design and craftmanship. Product support is personal and direct since Devon Lenz designs and manufactures the frames himself.

Weaknesses:    I have not discovered any weaknesses. You could say it is a bit heavy but a lighter frame would not be able to handle the beating that this frame takes.

Bottom Line:
This is an outstanding bike for someone that weighs 170lbs or more. It is not a lightweight racer but a good all around cross country workhorse that can handle anything you can dish out.

Strengths:    Responsiveness to suspension adjustments in travel is unbelievable. This suspension is so adjustable that this frame is perfect for x-country and for down hill. Upon buying the perfect spring from Mountain Speed for the proper sag in the rear you will be dialed and ready for anything. This bike, when dampend down for x-country, will climb anything you're able to pedal up without a bobbing effect. When the suspension is speeded up and the seat lowered, strap you helmet on tight and get ready for awsome fun. I am 6'3" and 230 pounds and this bike handles everything I have thrown at it. I ride on DeMaxx rims due to the landings I encounter on my favorite run which starts at 6000 feet in elevation and ends at 1500 feet, 16.5 miles later. This bike is strong, to say the least, and every bike starts at its core and the core is the frame Devin Lenz makes. I could have bought anything I wanted and I chose a Lenz Sport. Why? One, I "loved" the look and design. Two, I don't want to own what everone else may have. How many bike frames do the "other" big names make a year? Does Gary Fisher make each one by hand like Devin Lenze does? I didn't think so and believe me upon opening the box of your new Lenz Spot you'll debate wheather or not to put it on the wall as a peice of art or ride it!? Call me I'll tell you more if you like.....

Weaknesses:    This is hard to say when after two years of riding. I am still in love with the bike as if it were my first day of riding it. I can only say that it's only negative point would be it's bomb proof and will "not" allow those who like working on their bikes to do so.

Bottom Line:
You will not get another product with the fit, the finish, and durability of a Lenz Sport. I have ridden the competition and chosen the product which gave me the peace of mind of knowing I truely am riding a "custom" hand built bike..

Thanks Lenz Sport!
