Strengths: Strongest frame Ive ever seen
Weaknesses: shock bolt hole wallows out, but I would expect it w/ years of abuse
Bottom Line:
Ive had this bike for years and have had almost no problems. I feel like I am a different kind of bike guy, cause I know the trade-off w/ suspensions. You cant have lots wheel travel without giving up weight and pedel bob. The same way you cant have a trophy truck that corners like a F-1. The rear arm is huge just how off road race vehichles are. The head tube crazy strong. If Robby Gordon Off-Road were to build a DH bike I would guess it would look a lot like this. My bike is scratched and banged up. Cause I use it ! I see so many people complaining about buying a certain bike then they sell it .with no scratches!! Posers I guess. KHS did their homework as far as I'm concearnd.

Strengths: The frame is completly indestructible. I weigh about 190 and have put this rig through hell!!!
Weaknesses: REAR SHOCK!
Bottom Line:
This frame is awesome! The only down fall is the weak arse rear shock. I bought my rig from a family friend who used to race. Well he took care of all of his rigs, really good care of them. I had a 700# Spring on the shock, and the first race I ented the rear shock completly blew on my 1st run. I am now in the market for a new shock, porbally go with Rissie or some othe brand. I gave the over all rating for the weak rear shock, if you dont have the RCR T2 then this frame deserves a 10!!

Strengths: This bike looks good and it rides very smooth. I looks good and the chicks dig it. It has handled everything I have thrown at it so far at ease. Good handling. Sweet paint job. Lockout is useful
Weaknesses: The back end is a little more flexy than I would like but oh well. It can't be perfect. If you are a weight weenie than it is a little heavier than you would like but I could'nt care less.
Bottom Line:
It is a sweet ride and it is a sweet bike for anyone who wants to hit up those 20 foot gap jumps. I have had it for about a week now and I love it. It loves big air and it sucks up the landing even if you case it hardcore. It is a heavy beast. You might not want to ride it down main street as will probably get pulled over for riding what the cops first think is a dirtbike but they will soon realize and let you go. Dont buy this if you are a weight weenie. The rear end is a little flexy but not as bad as the Rocky Mountain DH/FR line. Buy the bike and you will love it. Just put on your bucket and huck it.
Bike Setup: This is actually a Fetish. Gazzi's 3.0 front and back. Stock pretty much. Zu Zu's.

Strengths: Tons of progressive bottomless travell, super beefy construction, stiff, cheap, girls stop you on the street on it
Weaknesses: Crappy paint, 9in mode is unrideable (seriosly) with a RCR shock unless your big ring is larger than 46tooth, 8 inch mode bobs alot, linkage comes loose
Bottom Line:
This bike LOVES big air. I have seriosly never ridden a Downhill bike that loves to jump big tables (25ft+) as much as my KHS. THe slightly rising rate rear end just soakes everything up smoothly and launches you straight. Drop-ins are no problem but you'll need a big fork to keep up with the rear end, boxxer's are my pick.
Pedaling on this bike is kind of lame but not as ridiculas as some people here make it out to be. I keep mine in 8inch mode and on a 44 tooth and i ride it everywhere, up and down the mountain, you just transfer your weight a little forward and you can pedal around and off anything you want.
Fitting a chain guide on this bike with its busy bb section IS A PAIN IN THE ASS
The paint is thin, but girls come talk to you about your bike all the time, on the downside pissed off pedestrians will yell at you for "riding your damned motorbike" on the trail.
While the massive Headtube junction is the first thing people notice about this frame, the rear chainstay is also VERY beefy and short making for a very stiff rear end. Also want to fit a 26x3.0 on the back? The khs will fit one with practicly a cm of clearance.
The KHS carry's its heft over the front wheel, and low over the bottom bracket, this combined with the Virtual pivot pnt let this frame absolutly RAIL corners, ive never been able to drift the rear end of a bike (no brakes) before this frame. Manualling is differn't, but it'll come to you with practice.
Overall your getting very upmarket technology and capibility for about half the price of comprable frames, plus warrenty is pretty solid if you do have a problem. I read the post about swapping the RCR for a Fox, im thinking of trying that out, the RCR has poor compression dampining whereass with the Fox running some higher dampining might cure alot of the bobbing problem.

Strengths: strong,really strong,capable of dropping off a house !
Weaknesses: frames tend to crack-mine was replaced on the spot @ KHS Factory-no questions asked-----nice job guys !
Bottom Line:
At 6'3,235lbs, I demand a tough bike-this bike took me to the AM-Cup Championship, and 2nd in the State Championships ! Sure it pedals bad, but I free ride mine tooo----recently did a 30+ mile event was 5th out of 107 ! And only 2 of us on DH bikes ! So quit crying and pedal--lean forward and be smooth--it will climb and not BOB ! Get Romic to dial in your shock and use a good fork and this bike kicks ass!!! Mine is for SALE $3500. with all my spares. The fork alone is worth 3000.

Strengths: super strong frame, huge gussets, virtual pivot, stiff, lots o'travel, manuals well, low standover, super plush, easily adjustable
Weaknesses: paint is a little thin, pedals like crap
Bottom Line:
for the kind of riding i do this bike totally kicks ass. im not a big racer so i dont care how it pedals as long as i can manual it and get enough speed for a lip (and ride off stuff as well). it is way overbuilt so i can really abuse it. once i got a romic shock back from rcr i havent had any problems with the shock. fun bike to ride.

Strengths: built to withstand an atomic bomb. soopa plush. you can ride this bad boy down (or over) anything. no torsional flex. swedish bikini models will want to be seen with you and your bike!!(ok- not really with you, just the bike), you can barely feel the other riders under you as you mow them down.
Weaknesses: need to keep an eye on the linkage(sometimes the bolts loosen up on their own, heavy (what dh isn't??), the stock rcr blows!!! i changed it to a fox vanilla rc. i recommend others to do the same
Bottom Line:
if you want a bad a$$ piece of machinery at a sweeeeet price, then this is the one. not for the faint of heart. i have had mine for over a year w/ no problems. huge drops are reduced to to something like riding off curbs. too much sag if ridden in 9" mode. stick wih 8".

Strengths: Very solid feeling bike, can huck anything, if they could just make it last a little longer...
Weaknesses: my buddy bought one a couple of months ago and the frame cracked in multiple spots. KHS has totally screwed him on the deal which is sad seeing as I am the happy owner of a 99 comp st.
Bottom Line:
KHS has a lifetime frame warranty that they do not stand behind. When he returned the bike they gave him a hard tail saying they had no other frame for him. I will look to another brand next time, not because of the product, only because of the people behind the product.
Strengths: BEEFY FRAME this frame is way over built I love it. Screams over the chunky sections. Awsome on drops, takes big hits and landings really well.
Weaknesses: The RCR shock is a piece of garbage. when i went to pick it up from the shop the shock blew in the parking lot. So the owner took a Fox Vinnila RC off of a super 8 he had hangin on the wall. WHAT A DIFFERENCE the bike pedals horrible with the RCR put on a fox and there vertually isnt any pedal bob what so ever.
Bottom Line:
Awsome race bike if you set it up right Mine weighs 45 pounds and it is still great pedaling and racing.....with a fox shock. I am only giving it a 4 on the over rating because of the RCR shock and because its not a Brooklyn TMX
Strengths: Good travel, looks great, handles the huge stuff, jump good, pretty fast once up to speed, chicks dig it
Weaknesses: Lots a bobbin, cracked the frame after 3 months, blew 3 rear shocks. Heavy as s__t and not the most fun to ride around
Bottom Line:
Dont buy it if you are not sure about it. Rather go for a Kona or Santa Cruzzzzz. If you like to go very big like Bender in New world disorder then buy it.

Strengths: Solid feel, travel adjustable, 8 inch rotor capable, no problems with wide tires. Clean cable routing. Huge oversized bearings.
Weaknesses: Frame a bit heavy, 9 inch travel pedals bad, RCR shock has moderate dampening.
Bottom Line:
The bike begs to be riding fast, it tracks well in corners and jumps nice. Some people have complained about pedal bob, but pedal bob is something that is common in all long travel DH frames. Peolple say that you should not have to get use to it. All bikes have different feels to them, that's what make people love or hate them. A bike feel is strickly personal.
For me this bike rocks, I ride the thing back and forth to work everyday and get the coolest looks. I have the thing set at 8" of travel, cause the 9" is just to soft for anything less than racing, or drops. I would recomend this frame to my friend.
So the bottom line from me is buy it, tune it, and ride it. Because once you dial in the rear shock properlly you can almost lose the pedal bob.
Strengths: wicked, some guys here obviously don't know what the're talking about, The frame is super strong,
Weaknesses: bad pedal feedback in 9 inch travel mode, but only dumb people ride it in 9 inches, 8 inch mode feels wicked
Bottom Line:
The bike rips and it is definetly one of the better bike's i've ridden, it's an excelently priced frame also. some people here say they are having problems with the shock, well RCR has fixed all their shocks and i have a new one on now and works awesome, i've been riding if hard for 4 months now and not one problem, and this guy that sais the rear shock beats the hell out of the frame... maybe he can learn to ride cause the shock is perfect for tha bike. I rate this bike 5 flaming dead horses
Weaknesses: Pedals like $hit!!! All you guys out there trying to justify wasting your money, by saying "you get use to it" or "you have to expect some bob it's a DH bike" You shouldn't have to get used to anyhing!! This bike bobs so much that it literally bounces you off the pedals, when you sprint!!! When i got mine the shock mount was not welded on all the way, and the paint started to chip and you could see the cracks that were forming, and they were not lined up, so the bolt wouldn't go through all the way. I will admit the price is nice, but it is worth it to save up the few extra bucks and by something better. Just admit to yourself that you wasted your money and sell it!! Luckily I got my money back and now I ride A Karpiel Armageddon.
Bottom Line:
Piece of $hit! I don't care how much it costs it's not worth it!!
Strengths: price new Romic Shock plush...look nice too
Weaknesses: mmm..none so far...
Bottom Line:
best deal around...good value...go get one...now... The romic shock seems better than the RCR T2 of last year model anyway, downhill frame have a limited life...better save some money to change more often hyper bon vélo...botte les fesses a la compet.

Strengths: It is still a tube frame. It has adjustable 8 or 9 inches of rear travel. All sealed bearing pivots. Huge gussets and monsterous rear swing arm. Excellent value for the dollar.
Weaknesses: Pedal bob. Pivots tend to loosen.
Bottom Line:
I guess the bottom line here is the Dominatrax is a big travel bike that is slightly overbuilt to handle anything the most hardcore downhiller can steer it through. I have seen a guy jump one over 50 feet through the air! Landed real smooth. This frame is for the serious downhiller looking for that adrenaline rush. I guess that is why I bought one. I have had it for about 6 months now and I love everything about it, with 9" of rear wheel travel, it is very plush. So plush that you do get a bit of pedal bob. But thats easily overcome by adjusting the rear shock. Every time I take it out, I just keep looking for that bit more of a drop or that huge rock to climb over. With the looks and feel of a motocross, it really attracts attention everywhere I go. Other than having to tighten the pivot bolts after an extreme day of riding or racing, there is really no real weaknesses to to be found. I am more than happy with this bike. I give it 4 flamin' chilis only because it's not an Intense.
