This is a great value, as has been said in the preceding reviews. The frame is awesome, as you gain ability you upgrade parts!!!! Thats what I had roomy do, he's about to step-up fork, tires, and maybe shock (fox, cane creek, statos, risse). If you can find a deal on this bike, grab it....

Strengths: GREAT CLIMBING. SOLID FRAME
Weaknesses: BACK SPOKES HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE. REBUILT BACK WHEEL AGAIN. CHAINRING WEAK. HANDLEBARS TO WIDE. VERY FRUSTRATED WITH BREAKING SPOKES EVERY TIME OUT
Bottom Line:
FOR THE PRICE WE RECEIVED A GREAT FRAME BUT WILL HAVE TO UPGRADE EVERYTHING ELSE. WHEN THE BIKE IS SERVICED/MAINTENANCED IT DOES GREAT FOR THE NEXT TWO TIMES OUT. THEN THE LITTLE THINGS START TO GO BAD. RIDE IT..FIX IT, RIDE IT, FIX IT. CHANGE THE SPOKES....ADJUST THE FRONT FORKS. IM VERY NEW AT THIS AND I THINK NEXT TIME I WILL SHOP HARDER FOR DURABILITY .

Strengths: Awesome frame for the price. Strut Swing-link combo is a proven suspension design. Cool color combination.
Weaknesses: RST fork is worthless. Limited rear shock upgrade options. Poorly located front derailleur and rear disc cable guide locations.
Bottom Line:
I chose this bike because of it's frame design and the price. The whole bike costs less than comparable frames. This maked it practical to completely upgrade just about every component. I now have a custom bike for the same price of an off the self model. The suspension is a modified MacPherson Strut that incorporates an inverted swing-link for lateral stiffness. The linkage system eliminates any noticable flex. My frame is the medium size and it has 3" of travel. That's perfect for XC riding. It climbs surfooted and desends with confidence. The Attack is worth buying. You can upgrade it step by step or all at once.
Strengths: The Frame is killer! Noleen 2 Rear shock is sweet. Makes for a comfortable ride, and can still climb like a hardtail with about 1/2" of travel. SRAM components are nice on this model, although i've seen on the new they have switched to shimano... Still no problems yet.
Weaknesses: RST fronk forks and pedals were removed/upgraded before leaving the shop. Upgraded to some nice airforks for $150. Seat hurt my a$$ for the first few days!
Bottom Line:
Paid $899 Canadian for this bike. Originally it was priced at $1800, which is probably too high. If you want a great bike without dropping $2-3,000 Canadian, get one of these... Ideal for any type of rider. Just make sure the RST is gone before you leave the shop!

Strengths: Rear susp., lightness, mobility.
Weaknesses: FRONT FORKS!!
Bottom Line:
Bike is pretty cheap for what it offers. Handles very well. I just have a concern if any of you riders can let me know if you have experiened the front hub lossening up at any time while riding. I had a horrific accident with the tire popping off while riding downhill. I have the original RST fork that came with it and am cocerned if this has happened to any other riders.

Strengths: Frame, Value
Weaknesses: SRAM, stock components. I crushed both the middle and big chainring on the stock Truvativ Cranks.
Bottom Line:
This is a great bike for the money. The stock components are a little weak. However, this is a good deal if you are making the move from hardtail to Full Suspension. I had also read on MTBR that the stock fork was bad so I had it replaced before it left the shop. The mega air 100 is a great fork. After a few more upgrades, this will be a great ride. If you are looking to build up or customize a full suspension, this is a great frame/bike to start with.
Bike Setup: Attack 3.0 frame, LX components, Noleen Mega Air 100 fork

Strengths: Fast bike, excellent for the money. would highly reccomend this bike to someone who would like a good full suspension bike for a low cost. I can keep up with most other bikes of two and three times the value, and even beat a lot of them!
Weaknesses: I would compain about the forks if I had emptied my wallet when I bought it. But I didn't.
Bottom Line:
Great bike for the money, If you're on a budget (like most of the world) or just breaking into the sport, this would be an ideal bike. Due to cost factor, or lack of, I have to give the bike 5 chilis'.
bottom line is that this bikes is great. rear shock adjusts to hhardtail likeness.....this bike handles great in mud and flys on the flats. only prob i had was initial adjustment of the rear shock...excellent bike for the money. the guys at ultimate bike in pineville are great...i highly recomend buying there

Strengths: Great frame, handles well, light 28.5 lbs. nice rear shock, good support from sram, k2
Weaknesses: Front forks suck, they have no damping and are soft. SRAM Shifters mishift sometimes. prefer shimano rapid fire
Bottom Line:
Great bike for the price, Just upgrade the forks and shorten the grip shifters. clean shifting on level ground. good handling. Best priced bike for the quality except for the RST forks the junk.
Bike Setup: Standard with disc brake mounts, upgraded to Mar. Z3 forks, shorten sram grip shifters.

Strengths: FRAME, DEFINETLY THE FRAME, AND REAR SHOCK.
Weaknesses: Parts kinda suck, but the frame rules!
Bottom Line:
This is such a sweet bike!!!! I love it. The frame and rear shock are awesome. If you are a hard-core rider, you may want to put shamano parts on such as crank, and derailuers. Wheelset will last for a while. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE FRAME AND REAR SHOCK RULES.
Bike Setup: KEPT THE KICK ASS Frame, but replaced the drive train

Strengths: This bike flat out hauls for the money. The parts selection is very good and the bike handles well in all kind of situations. you will not have to upgrade your parts other then the cheap fork
Weaknesses: the only weakness this bike haves is the fork it is light years behind the times
Bottom Line:
This bike is the real deal it proves that you do not have to spend thousands of dollars to have a quality full suspension bike. Buy the bike upgrade the fork and develope a long relationship with your new friend.

Strengths: Light, climbs well! Good components, nice crank!
Weaknesses: Probably forks.. they rebound pretty violently sometimes... but, I've hardly been able to bottom them with the adjusters turned up all the way.
Bottom Line:
I've had the bike about a month and a half. Thoroughly pleased! I ride so much more now with this bike. I was instantly faster.. it accelerates great! The weight feels really light to me.. it must carry it well. The thing climbs really well.. if you tighten up the shock's pre-load and stiffen up the rebound adjuster, it is almost hardtail like on climbs. For descending then, just reverse the adjustments... works like a champ! This bike has changed my outlook towards F.S. bikes and riding in general. I got a ripping deal on top of it all! 5 and 5!! no doubt about it!

Strengths: Solid SRAM 7 drivetrain. Nice paint. Stiff frame. Disk-brake ready hubs. Solid Tru-V crank and head-set. Lighter than any other bikes in its price range.
Weaknesses: Only thing that you might want to upgrade is the forks. However, if your under 220 pounds and you don't drop off cliffs don't bother.
Bottom Line:
This is a great bike. The rear shock is impressive. SRAM 7 drivetrain on a bike under 1600CAD is top value. The bike is way lighter than the Giant and even the Specialized. It rides fast and feels hardtail stiff up hill. Unbelievable component selection for this price range. A very capable full-suspension x-country ride.

Strengths: Good drivetrain, quick and reliable SRAM 7.0 shifting. Disk-brake ready. Sporty color scheme. Strong frame design. Nice adjustable Noleen rear shock. Steady rear end when hauling uphill. Fast. Sharp handling. Good weight 28.5 pounds. Nice component selection for a bike under 1200cad.
Weaknesses: Heavier riders (230+ pounds) may want to upgrade the stock forks. Can't find many K2 dealers in Canada.
Bottom Line:
A fast, strong bike. Sporty look. Solid SRAM 7.0 drive-train. Uphill rides are stiff and light. Hard-tail handling around town. Coushie rear shock when you dail it in right. A good full-susp ride for cross country and tech-trails. Only thing I'm thinkin of upgrading is to shorter handle-bars and maybe the forks to Noleen Smarts. After test riding various full-suspensions in this price range, this bike had by far the best components and weight. So, for the money this bike deserves 5 chill's. Great bike K2 but wish you guys had a stronger product presense in CANADA. It's a shame to see your bikes at tennis racket stores etc... You don't get the professional service from these guys that you would at a bike shop.
This is the best bike I saw for the buck. I shopped all over houston, and actually found one for 669.99. I have never ridden a better bike, it is phenonminal. The best!
