Fun to ride now. Was loud when I first got it. I have bent a lot of rims, broke the derailleur hanger and waited a few weeks to get it replaced, cuz I'm in Korea. I'm not sure what it weighs now but it's fun to ride and takes a mild spanking. Good beginner's bike
Overall rating reflects my appreciation for the bike now that it's been upgraded. A MUST.

rols over the ground sometimes can put up with a lot of abuse like gravel roads

everything is a weakness the seat poast broke wheels tacoed fork stoped moving pedals broke bottom bracket striped shifters broke derailers exploded multiple times the shock is wothless the frame is broken in multiple places and their was paint at one time.

bike is an exelent bike for downhilling sprints well great on big drops 50 -60 feet dual slalom dirt jumping, noth shore, i have an intense uzzi slx and a v10 and they are never riden beceause this is the best bike in the world

Strengths:
Good frame design. Bushings have held up to a lot of mud and water crossings.
Weaknesses:
RST 281R fork is fine for gravel roads, but I would not recommend it for XC. SRAM 5.0 rear derailluer pivots wore out in the first year. Tektro V-brake did not have much power, although they did modulate well.

Bottom Line:
Overall this bike would be best for someone who does occasional offroading. It will get you were you want to go, but you will have to work for it. The original bike was heavy and felt sluggish but did not bob going uphill if the preload was set fairly high. After all the updates, its much lighter, turns quick, shifts on command and stops were you want it.
The ratings I put in are for the original setup, as their if very little of the original bike remaining (seat, frame, shock).

geomitrey feels great and the cockpit fit's wel to a 5 foot five person but no biger

louse the sram hard stuf just go with xt it is so mutch simpiler and standard the rst fork performance wise sucks but hasent broken yet to my suprise.

great first bike the suspention bobs if you dont realey crank on the nollen rear shock i gues the 2002 model comes with shimano hardwair and the judy c fork I havent riden the 2002 bike but i has the judy c on mine fo a wile ind the bike bobed like crazy big hit's arn't goog with this bike stay withen the five foot rainge.

It climbs nice and handles great. Rear shock feels like more then it is.
Weaknesses:
Sram 5.0 sucks. Front shock sucks. The front fork handles bad in the bud and the same with the sram 5.0 upgrade immediatley.
Bottom Line:
Great bike for the money fun ride. New shock and new derailers and its a sweet bike. Best buy ive had.

good price, light and rear shocks are good especially for the price.
Weaknesses:
front shocks are to great the same with the Sram 5.0 I broke it in the first month. Probably because I ride hard.

Bottom Line:
Good bike for the price. Get rid of those front shocks and the sram 5.0 and you got yourself a good bike. If you like to ride hard you can change the bike a little to fit your needs without it falling apart. This bike is good for the beginer biker and the weekend warrior.

Frame- it is simple and light Rear shock- good for the price

None so far ( only c. 100 km winter snowscooter-trail riding in -5 to -10 degrees Celsius )

Bike Setup:
K2 Attact 2.0 Frame, Fastrax- shock, Richey -aheadset and the Shimano bottom bracket are original equipment. Other items have been replaced with better/lighter ones ( XT/ Rock Shock Jett Race/ WTB Powerbeams/Coda Racecranks ) from my old M-frame Cannondale.
Bottom Line:
I didn´t ride a single mile with the original set -up, so I have no idea how it works. The set up today is about 12,5 kg ready-to-ride ( c. 26,5 lbs.), and it feels nice both in uphills and downhills.
Lets see how it looks when I´ve done the whole next summer ( about 3000- 4000 km/summer usually ). It was a good starting point to upgrade and i feel it is still ( rear susp., bb- both quite heavy ). Goog value for money. ( My chilis are for this set-up, not for the original )

Good entry level FS.

The SRAM 5.0! Its worthless if your ride hard on advanced trails or in muddy conditions.
Bottom Line:
Good first FS bike. Decent frame to start out with but would definitely recommend component upgrades. If you ride hard and on more difficult terrain than a dirt road I'd replace the SRAM 5.0 with something else. It doesn't handle mud well and is generally problematic on tough rides. The front derailler tends to skip down to the low gear ring/low gear when under stress and that can be disconcerting. The front fork seems fine and I have no complaints about that. Same for rear. Kenda Klaw tires okay in general. With the exception of te SRAM set up I'm very happy with this bike and certinly recommend it to anyone looking to move up to an FS.

Strengths:
A light inexspensive dual that has a surprisingly good drive train. grip shifts are acurate, as well as the rear suspension.
Weaknesses:
Fork needs to be replaced, as well as the read derauilor. Get rid of the plastic pedals.
