Strengths:    Frame design, company support

Weaknesses:    interupted seatpost area

Bottom Line:
Ok, I`ve been on this thing for over a year now and this bike rules!!! The weight might be a little much for some, but I`m 215 lbs,so 32.5 lbs. for a bike is just right. I recently bent the rear triangle(not excactly sure how) but thanks to the guy`s at The Path, and Tod S. at Iron Horse, I only had to ride my hardtail for a few weeks. I have put on a Stratos Helix Pro rear shock, and what a difference that made. With it locked out it climbs like crazy, and the coilspring makes for a plusher ride down. I`m no racer, but I do love to ride all day(ok almost all day) and the Hollowpoint let`s me do it.

Strengths:    Light Weight, Stiff, Confortable Riding Position, Excellent Components (compare components in other bikes at this price range). Lively, responsive. Good tracking, excellent Climber and downhiller, active suspension. Excellent rebound front shox. Bike can be tunable back and rear. The Hayes Disk Brakes are a big plus.

Weaknesses:    I have only riden this bike twice. I hope the SRAM shifters and components last as long as the Shimano I had in my hardtail. Only Time will tell.

Bottom Line:
It took me a long time to pick this XC-Top of the Line Machine. I checked all the other bikes in the price range (Cannondale Jerky, Trek Fuel, Specialized Enduro, Santa Cruz Superlight) and none of them will have the components that this bike comes standard with. This mean, that I don't have to go out purchase to replace any of the components. I rode the bike out on the trail the first time. I notice the incredible technology behind this bike. I mean I could clim better that with my hartail. The downhill, drop offs are smooth and stable. I am just stoke that I made the right purchase. At $1,500, you want to make sure that the bike performs as you expect. Boy, was I lucky. I am happy with my choice. This bike is just a lot of fun. I am a fast rider at 160 pounds. This bike invites it all, I am pushing my limits like never before. With this bike and its upright position, invites you to dare to air. The Bikes is just very stable and plush to land. This bike is definetly one you should consider. I hope the dealer lets you take out on a demo ride. I give 5 "Hot Chilitos" to this puppy.

Strengths:    GREAT FRAME DESIGN

Weaknesses:    NONE YET

Bottom Line:
THIS BIKE WILL GO ANYWHERE I DARE TAKE IT.THAT INCLUDES ALL OF THE NASTY CLIMBS.WHEN I SWITCHED FRAMES,(I CRACKED THE DAKAR,NO FAULT ON JAMIS PART,THAT STORY IS ON MY JAMIS REVEIW)I WAS AFRAID THE HOLLOWPOINT WOULD NOT CLIMB AS WELL,DUE TO THE EXTRA INCH OF TRAVEL.MAN WAS I WRONG.I DONT HAVE A LOCK OUT,AND I HAVENT NOTICED TO MUCH BOB.PLUS THIS THING FEELS MUCH PLUSHER GOING DOWN.I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS BIKE TO ANYONE WHO LOVES GOING DOWN ROUGH STUFF,AND ISNT AFRAID OF PEDALING 30 LBS OR SO UP THE MOUNTAIN TO GET THERE.THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT,RIGHT?

Strengths:    fairly light and a great climber. disk breaks so it stops on a dime and for a xc bike very good suspention. good on drops. and goes downhill well.

Bottom Line:
this bike is a very nice bike for the nonracer who does technical biking and who likes to beat on the bike and still expects results. with the lockout the bike climbs like a hardtail and even without it it isnt that bad at all. this bike goes downhill well to i ride in my hometown on the ski hill and for the amount of travle that it offers it uses it all. if you are looking for a nice bike in the $2000 dollar range then e-mail me at ZXTigerguyXz@aol.com
