Strengths:    1st Price most definately
2nd looks
3rd its a dual suspension bike

Weaknesses:    1. front shock, no travel when rider is on it.
2. grip shifter, just didn't like it

Bottom Line:
This was my first mountain bike, so i'm pleased with it. i'm keeping it as a downhill and a loaner for my buds, but it's getting a new front fork, most likely a judy c, but that's in the future. the bike is tough, dropped it many a times, and it did offer a great ride. i never saw the 2.5" front fork travel, but i'm also 195 pounds. purchased new trek 4500, much better ride, even tho its only a hard tail.

Strengths:    Bike looks great, I bought it with all Deore LX gear on it as standard (27 speed), so it stops and shifts great, strong Sun Ditch Witch rims, takes alot to get them out of wack. strong frame also.

Weaknesses:    Front shock is a shocker, RST gamma XT, shakes, doesnt really take a good beating, better to upgrade to a Mozo or Rockshox Judy. Only real complaint, rear shock is Good.

Bottom Line:
A great bike for a bit of cross country and mainly freeride,A good intermediate bike. My one came with the Deore LX gear so i pretty happy with it, the bike can take a real bashing and it has, Compared to other brands in the same line, the Ironhorse was alot better value, running good componentry, great frame, decent shocks. The 2001 model has fixed any problems this one had, alot higher price tag though. You should really look into this bike if you dont want to spend huge dollars but still want good gear and performance.

Strengths:    This bike looks tough as hell in the rack and is equally tough on the trail. Great price for a entry level full suspension.

Weaknesses:    RST 281 R front shock is terrible and belongs on your childs trike. It will be your first upgrade. Shifting is moderate at best. Crank arms squeak when you real crank hard on them. More irritating then anything else

Bottom Line:
If your on a tight budget and your back can't take a hardtail this is a great entry level bike. The downside is that you will feel like upgrading this bike 3 months after buying it. You might be better off waiting a few months and saving for a G-Out or Ginsu. Overall I would recommend this for someone on a tight budget looking for a full suspension ride.

Strengths:    Strong frame design, RST shock and fork OK'ish.

Weaknesses:    Crap rear pivot, needs to be sealed.
Hillbilly???

Bottom Line:
If Ironhorse put a sealed bearing in this bike it would be bomb proof.

Strengths:    -Good Colour
-Strong Frame
-24 Speed Grip Shift
-Comfortable Seat
-Very, very light
-Excellent price- $834.37 (AUS)

Weaknesses:    -Acera gear not great
-RST Rear fork shakes terribly
-RST Front suspention too small

Bottom Line:
A good bike for beginers. Looks great but a lot of the gear on it is not top quality. Very good for the price paid. A very light bike but most of the Acera gear doesn't meet full requirments. A wobbly rear fork which requires attention just as purchased and from then on every 2-3 weeks. A good full suspension bike too buy for the beginers and then to upgrade later on.

Strengths:    +looks good
+lighter than it looks
+24 spd
+solid frame
+price ($999.99 Canadian)
+RST rear shock is tough

Weaknesses:    -RST 281 R FORK IS SO FREKING HORRIBLE!!! well, it's ok for beginners
-Acera components are so-so
-funny shaped handlebar
-rear rst shock a bit stiff

Bottom Line:
Gotta admit, the bike looks killer, but looks aren't everything. It is a pretty good Full Sus bike, especially for the price. The Frame is nuke proof + light, and the shock is tough, but the Acera components just didn't cut it. Neither did the RST 281 R fork. Its a great bike for beginners and intermediates who want to have fun. Great for future upgrades.
