Strengths: the strengths of the bike are that the travel is smooth. it pedles like no other downhill bike. you can take burly desents down stuff that i would not even walk down. over all a great bike
Weaknesses: there are only a few weaknesses, but they are major. first it is made out of aluminum, so it is kinda weak. the bottom tube doesn't even go all the way to the head tube. this makes it so that it can crack here if you crash with a large fork.
Bottom Line:
the bottom line is that this bike is great if you get a 2002 with the stronger frame and the progressive shock. the bike preforms like a champ and i dont want anyother bike. i sold my front fork and hope to get a boxxer. this bike preforms better with smaller forks and it is easier to throw around.
Strengths: dude, if you huck ten foot wheelie drops every day, for god's sake get it. Why do I dig intense? look at the details. Cartrige bearing all around, and look at the welds. I like the older suspension better than the fsr, 'cause it looks better and stiffer. it's such a big and stable bike that feels smaller than it is. And it's really a goos freedrider too, because it's so light for a dh rig that if you got thelegs, you can climb some steep ass hills. sure it's nervous on the climbs, but just think of the way down. Let me put it this way, i turned from a nervous xc rider to dropping six foot drops like lunch. Thanks intense, you are the bomb
Weaknesses: hum, well, gee, if you find somthing wrong with this frame, go and work for a magazine(Zap, Matt Philips, and all those ultra sensitive xc geeks)
Bottom Line:
Everyone sould have one like this bike. But then, it won't be a real intense, bro.

Weaknesses: umm, the cranks which the bike came with are as strong as poo !
Bottom Line:
nice, i'd rather ride this then ride pamela !!!! if u have the dough and the know how then this is probably a "best buy" although if u don't have the money i suggest u don't even look at this bike. i got this bike moderately cheap so yeah

Strengths: It has a great paint job and hauls chics from everywhere It just looks the goods. People say, holly F*ck look at that!
Weaknesses: It looks heavier than a truck . The best lock for it "is you and a pump-action 12 gauge"!
Bottom Line:
This machine is awesome, apart from costing an arm and a leg, you'll need armour to go with it, a shotgun to guard it and a full face helmet.
The frame is built so that the bike can be pointed in one line going downhill and will not budge. It is so precise on handling, if someone brakes one, i wanna see where and how. ! It is bullet proof and is a real chic hauler down at the local supermarket gauranteed!
Took me a little while to learn how to ride it. Now that I'm getting the hang of it, it rips through everything. I've never ridden another DH specific bike so I don't know if It's better or worse that comparable models. If you like DH ridng and you looking for a bike, get a second hand one if cost is too severe. Now that I have an Intense I love the sport more than ever.

Strengths: Adjustable in virtually every way! Super soft rear, super strong, light for DH, great geometry!! Plush, fast, makes me a better rider
Weaknesses: too expensive for most folks
Bottom Line:
This is a DH Bike - Goes over big stuff, Drops into steep and deep shuts - FAST! You get what you pay for - this bike is expensive and worth it. There are alot of M1's out there - so you can probably find a used one for less (I did!)
Strengths: Weight, adjustability, strength, craftmanship, suspension design (4 bar linkage)
Bottom Line:
The perfect bike for downhill and freeriding. Amazing to ride, so smoooooooth, no pogoing. You can feel the precision. An absolute dream to ride. Can't see riding anything else after demoing it. Adjustability to suit any type of terrain.
Strengths: Strong, beefy, light for a DH frame, handles well and the girls love its 8 inches in the rear.
Weaknesses: none yet
Bottom Line:
This bike is awesome. It actually handles like a bike unlike other DH frames, but has the suspension of a motorcycle. It jumps well and holds a line unbelievably. You can manual it much easier than other DH bikes. Can be changed to suit any course.
