Strengths: build quality of frame, the bikes versitilty and the fact you can upgarde jus about everything
Weaknesses: in standard form - weak components, twig like rear end and the pivot bolts work loose real easy
Bottom Line:
this was my first fs bike in standard form the bike was ok it struggled with flex due to the weak rear end and a poor components make up made the bike lesser than many evenly priced models, so i customised it the 01 ex 3 rear end sorted the strength and flex problems and increased shock stroke sorts out the single pivot sensitivity issues on the ruff stuff and the build as listed above makes my 99 ex2 much much much better than any of haro's 04 range the beauty of this bike in this build condition is that it can do anything it loves being thrown down mountains and is even quite good at gettin up them, as the haro branding suggests this frame is very happy on the jumps and dirt circuits and makes for a very competitive med duty free ride bike plus the frame looks the business on the street even the stiffest necks manage to turn and look... if your lookin to get into full susser bikes buy 1 of these and when youve got the hang of ridin it upgrade it as i have done and the bike will easily compete with top line makes not much out there beats my bike and its 5 years old its also up for sale email jimmilives@hotmail.com for pics and full spec uk buyers only
Bike Setup: 99 ex2 frame with a 01 ex3 rear end, atomlab DHR rims on aircorp hubs fox vanilla rx rear shock (2.0 stroke) rock shox duke xc u turn forx full 04 xt groupset hayes hfx 9 hd brakes (8' rotars)bits n bobs from dmr use odi and wtb

Strengths: Good suspension, Nice frame, good components, Disk take a while to dial in, but work great afterwards
Weaknesses: Little on the heavy side, but stil very ridable and very fun.
Bottom Line:
Greta bike for anyone who wants a fun to ride FS bike for just about anything. The bike sits up tall also, which is a nice feeling when you are in deep ruts. It is fun in single track, a blast on downhills, and good for street riding. The frame holds up to abuse very well, it pedals smooth, has nice shimono components, the disk work good, strong hubs. I would recomend this bike to anyone looking for a nice do it all type of bike. Awsome buy, Awsome ride!!

Strengths: CHEAP! Ok components group. Nice disc brakes.
Weaknesses: A little heavy (but not bad for the price). Cheap fender that will break off after a couple of hard rides. No lock out on rear suspension (but you wouldn't use this bike for cross country rides).
Bottom Line:
This is not a super big air hucker/downhill bike, but it is a great introduction to longer travel full suspension bikes for the price. The components are solid, but not great, but they are good enough. As the break, just replace them with better ones! I have really beat this bike up over the past 3 months and it has taken all the abuse I have thrown at it! The only thing to break so far is the front fender. Once you bottom this thing out a couple of times the fender just flies off! The bike is a little heavy, but it climbs pretty well. I wouldn't suggest taking this bike on super long cross country rides though. To big and heavy! The discs are a little cheap and tuff to set up properly, but once they are dialed in they rock! I have never used dics brakes before, so they were a pleasant suprise. I was originally going to dump a wad on a more expesive bike (like a Santa Cruz Bullet), but I opted for this cheaper wannabe model instead. It has the same look and feel as the Bullet, just way cheaper. But I am not trying to fool you, this bike is NOT ANYWHERE NEAR the Santa Cruz in performance...or price! But i like it.
Strengths: IS VERY STEADY, STRONG, VERY, VERY LIGHT, THE MANITOU, THE RST SHOCK, EVERY THING IS EXELLENT, WHEN YOU JUMP FROM A CLIFF IT RESPONDS VERY GOOD AT LANDING. THE FULL DEORE COMPONENTS, THE DISC BRAKES ARE AMAZING!!!!
Weaknesses: I THINK THAT IF IT COULD COME WITH A BETTER SHOCK, AND A AMOEBA RISER BAR
Bottom Line:
EXELLENT , EVERY WHERE I HAVE GONE WITH THIS BIKE I HAVE NEVER, ¡NEVER! HAD A PROBLEM , IN EVERY CLIF I JUMP, OR IN ANY PLACE I HAVE JUMPED OR TRIED A NEW HILL IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED NOTHING... I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY , THE PRICE IS GOOD FOR SUCH A GOOD BIKE.
I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT CHILEANS ARE ALSO GOOD BIKERS AND ARE TRYING TO GET BETTER AND BETTER, AND WE HOPE SOON WE GET THERE TO WIN ANY COMPETITION
