| | Bottom Line: | Used almost daily on-road (and kerbs, and staircases...) but on weekends, i use it on hilly trail-rides in mostly dense tropical forest trails with packed earth.
Major crashes: 2 endos, both on downhill trails. 1st one was a steep (maybe bout 40/50 degree slope on mud) but slow descend, braked too hard and got me a twisted ankle; second was a fast chicane on earth and leaves and 2 rubber trees in front of me, left me a lacerated left knee and a few other minor cuts. Bike: No damage on both falls.
If u get the setup right (to suit your ride style), u r not gonna regret this buy. The frame is TOUGH! Most of my riding buddies tried and liked my bike although the mod's only pretty moderate. Good for freerides but super on trails.
Remember, stock is decent 4 mucking around, but after up beefing it up, u'll love this bike 4 a pretty long time. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |

I've re engineered this bike from a Downhill to a Urban Dirt jumping/freerider. This bike is really solid and if you can find one I'd recommend it. It's one of the nicer single pivots and really cheap. | | Weaknesses: | tAgain I ordered this frame as a frame and shock. the weakness is indeed the RST22 rear shock. I used it as a paperweight but the other main thing is the shock to swingarm flex due to the plastic bushings that mount the shock. If you can find some aluminum ones definately upgrade them!!! | | Similar Products Used: | X1 and X2 | | Bike Setup: | Manitou X-Vert 4" single crown fork.

If you are just starting out this bike won't let you down and you can still pick some up at least around here for an even better price than i paid. | | Weaknesses: | Fork turns mushy, rear tire exploded not even on a trail. Component group could be upgraded. | | Bike Setup: | The fork was replaced within a month with a Manitou Mars.
The drive train is now all Deore (cassette xt), now nine speed.
Wheels where replaced with Sun Mammoth rims.
Brakes are now XT.
Hubs Deore

The Parts are cheap in pricing, but absolutly great in this combination.
The RST Back Fork does a really great job... | | Weaknesses: | Nothing yet, instead of the Front Fork. The RST Mozo ML30 ist a bit weak. The frame is IMHO the best looking frame this year and faboulous for extrem upradings.
The only (not really) weak part is the front fork. In my opinion it's a bit weak and the arms feels like pudding after 4hours of riding.
