Strengths: The xc rides around the hilly reserves give a good understanding of this bike. The full susp absorbs most terrain bumps and takes 3ft drops with ease. Good for novice to intermediate rider. But the gel/silicone type rear shock seems to have to upgrade with coil/gas typeWeaknesses: Shifting through the rear gear ratios was rough thro the stock STX-RC rear D,so upgraded to a 2002XT & makes it sweeter. The standard brakes and most parts upgraded to XT,and presto you hav a nicer get goer in the making.the swing arm bolts to tighten after a few rides,do noe why keep unscrewing??Bottom Line: Big bang for your money.Keep going and going and the only clear and present danger is to keep it safe from being stolen - had many envy eyes on the streets. chiao... :)p
