Strengths: everything, this thing is a tank, it crushes anything in its path.If you want to go a certain direction, theres nothing stopping it. I LOVE THIS BIKE!
Weaknesses: hardly nothing, just had a bit of a problem with the rear disk mounts, and it is a little heavy but still I love heavy bikes
Bottom Line:
The compontents I have on this bike are new so it complements the bike really well, although i really do feel that the bike is getting on and becoming a bit old I still love it and I love just taking it down to my local trails. If you dont mind age and want a beefy bike then look no further as the atx is for you. The only thing that I dont like about the bike is that it makes a bit of noice, although im still tweaking it.

Strengths: strong and stif! Can do 10ft drops with ease! No too heavy and pedals quite well swingarm spares are cheap and plentyfull!
Weaknesses: ?
Bottom Line:
this bike is great! i got a sweet deal on the frame , R4500 (aprox $540). one of the better dh frames although it's a bit old. it takes anything you care to point the front wheel at!
Strengths: This thing is awsome, a true tank. It goes wherever you want it. NO flex, and travel fells like more than 6 inches!
Weaknesses: ONLY weakness is its weight, but what do you expect for a bike as solid as this one? GIANT also has a weakness in that they dont make this one any more.
Bottom Line:
I got a sweet deal on this frame, $625 in excellent condition and including RF DH cranks. I got way more than i had bargoned for. Try one and you will see what I mean.
Strengths: every thing. great desighn. no flex. great jump bike (even though it weighs 48lbs). lots of travel. handles well. can do 18 foot drop easily.
Weaknesses: chain tensions.(dont do a drop in 1st or 2nd gear)
Bottom Line:
great bike. amazing for technical dh and big drops/jumps.
Bike Setup: magura big ego. d321 rims. bigun hubs. enduro 4 front and rear. fox vanilla rc shock.

Strengths: Loads of suspension, especially with goldtec long travel plates (8 inches). Huge frame with zero flex.
Weaknesses: It can be a bit big for some uk downhill courses but other than that NONE.
Bottom Line:
This bike is amazing it can handle anything you throw at it, its simple with one suspension settting, for its size its very light. Stable at high speed and agile on gnarly stuff and corners this bike is a definate winner. Anyone with the cash or sponsorship should get one ASAP.
Strengths: very strong, looks awseome, good wieght, nice handling, barley any flex.
Weaknesses: its blue
Bottom Line:
its a really nice bike to ride, i keep goin faster and faster and i still don't scare myself. It is a nice bike and i suggest that anyone who has the money should get one.

Strengths: the frame & componentry - frame handles anything you can throw at it and doesnt complain about it, sweet components do the same
Weaknesses: manitou fork - dont do the bike any justice
Bottom Line:
great bike for the $$$ - DH, freeride, anything. Corners very well for a DH bike, flies thourgh technical sections, good for pedalling. but one if you can

Strengths: the frame is super tough and stiff. Can handle tight technical trails better than most dh bikes. Great dirt jumper, for a dh bike. Always lands big drops(12'+)smooth and you hardly notice the shock bottom out,Obviously Nick s(other ATX-2 reviewer) dosn't no how to ride a bike much better than my grandma. As for the components, the wheels kick ass(mavic d321 rims), the raceface turbine dh cranks broke the first week, replaced those with some kooka dh and havn't had a problem since
Weaknesses: the manitou fork
Bottom Line:
rad bike for dh racing and freeriding. this bike has no limits.
Strengths: strong head tube and really beefy sweet bike for the shore but dont go to big cause when the rear shock bottoms out it gets ulgy even if you wade.
Weaknesses: the rear shock fox rx is bad and its a little heavy, not great for the shore found better bikes before like yeti lawwill, bullit, rm 6, marin team dh, 8 ball
Bottom Line:
ok bike depends on how much you buy it for and what you got for your money a used one with say monsters should go for about $2650 can in good condition
Bike Setup: dh2s thats the only good part 8 inch hayes on front 6 hope on rear and a bunch of other stuff.

Strengths: Superb package for the cash. By far one of the best performing DH suspension designs. Super frame due to low maintenance and plush suspension. Awesome finish throughout - and best of all NO V-Brake mounts. Formula Open Hydro discs, AC Chain device, D321 rims, SDG saddle, Tioga Factory DH tires, RaceFace Turbine LP DH cranks, XT rear deraileur. Nice.
Weaknesses: That fork (Manitou X-Vert R 5,5" travel) does the bike no justice. Should put a 185mm rear disc rotor (he he I want everything).
Bottom Line:
BEST downhill bike on the market. Change the fork and you will fly!
Favorite Trail: Du ToitsKloof, Paarl, South Africa ----- AWESOME STUFF
Duration Product Used: 1 Year
Similar Products Used: Sintesi Bazooka, Intense M1-SL, GT LOBO
Bike Setup: Change the rear shock (not really necessary) to a Fox Vanilla RX or RS SuperDeluxe (205mm) and then feel the boy go! Otherwise Pretty much standard, but put a 44T chainring on, Inverted 7" travel fork, put a 185mm rear rotor on and a Tioga XL saddle. Oh yes, add a pair of WTB MotoRaptor tires and you are done.
Bike Setup: My ATX-2 is a fuckin awesome DH bike.I ride with a Marzocchi Monster-t fork(7), 321 Mavic rims, a Coupe Deluxe 6 rear shock and Formula open hydraulic brakes (185 mm front disc + 160 mm rear disc)
