Favorite Trail:just about any thing in NJ
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $400.00
Purchased At:Closed
Strengths:Cheap
takes a hell of beating
Weaknesses:as I got more into ridding I started to bottom out the shocks.seat post got in the way of the shock when I droped the seat.
Similar Products Used:hard tails, walmart type stuff.
Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:I decided I wanted to give MTBing a try. So I went out and bought this cheap FS. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I didn't know if I would get into the sport. As I roas more and more I discovered that I loved the sport. The more I road the harder I road. The bike was a great starter bike. I am a big guy, 220lbs. Yeah. I beat the hell out of the bike. I can't begin to tell you how many falls I have under my belt. Bad ones where my buddies turned around to see if I was still alive. I have bent rims, slamed the crank, had my seat poat slam the shock. All-in-all it held up. I am ready to upgrade now and I am going to get a Giant VT2 '04 (check 'em out). The Fuji becomes a hand-me-down. Great starter fo rthe money.

Favorite Trail:The City Heights
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $385.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:Good Frame and construction. Made for entirely for beginners just getting into Mountain Biking.
Weaknesses:Frame weighs a little over 33.2lbs w/ current components. Can be lighter when modified.
Bike Setup:Fuji Discovery 2/Kore Stem/Forged Kore Seat post/02'Rock Shox Sid Race Carbon/SPIN tri-spoke fly wheel/Shimano crankset.
Bottom Line:You really don't need to go further in looking for a top of a line bike to suit your needs if you're just getting in mountain biking. This Fuji frame is still being modified to my taste but performance and value is worth it for the novice-intermediate rider.
