$250.00 | | Purchased At: | individual | | Strengths: | Stiff frame. good balance. good hand controls. | | Weaknesses: | seat adjust range. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek mountain bikes | | Bike Setup: | Straight from the factory (many years ago). | | Bottom Line: | I am familiar with "off road" bikes but I am, by no means, an expert. The fit and trim of this older bike is still good but it needs a good tune up. I really don't know yet what year the bike is. The seller said that he paid about $1200.00 for it, new, about four years ago. It has some wear but rides "OK". We will see how it fairs at the bike shop in a day or two. It will not see any more hard compititions (if it ever has) so I think it will do well in its new service. The full suspension can be a good thing for older riders even on smooth an level surfaces. I recommend that anyone thinking of buying a "high end" bike consider looking for a well maintained used one. You will save hundreds of dollars and get good value. Bike repair shops can do wonders for very reasonable rates. Diamondback "DBR" racing bikes will give you your money's worth for years if you take care of them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
