Strengths: The FRAME!!! also the highrollers, drivetrain , Stem , bars
Weaknesses: PSYLO!!!!!!!!!!!! not a freeride fork
Bottom Line:
this is an awsome bike after you upgrade a bit, just make sure you change the fork!!!! a psylo does not belong on a bike like that, and then the bike will be sweet
Bike Setup: Marzocchi JR T, Magura louise front brake, Rhyno light TCB welded and machined rear rim, intence lock-on grips, intense 2.7" front tire, Xt shifters
Strengths: frame is unreal..takes every bit of abuse u can throw at it
Weaknesses: judy xc deore cranks and crappy disc (rst)
Bottom Line:
absolutely awsome bike......i got mine as a 2001 and ended up replace the bikes weak points . for 2002 devinci has done that for u. Best value for the dollar u can find. u will spend at least 60%more to find anything that remotely compares. why waste your money? the devinci rocks!!!
Strengths: Fully actve suspension. Gussets everywhere. Nice machining. Very manouverable.
Weaknesses: Stock spring too soft. no compression adj. plastic shock reducers broke. I upgrade to a Fox Vanilla Rx. Top tube is a little short for freeriding. Magura discs are strong but no modulation.
Bottom Line:
Sweet freeriding machine, swap out the rockshox delux adjust for a fox with compression damping and you're set. I can climb the steepest trails on this bike(38 lbs) with 9spd, and still huck of 8 footers with no problems. This rating is for the frame, the bike could use up grades like I did.
Similar Products Used: same suspension as kona. Identical frame design as Giant ATX1
Bike Setup: Magura disks, Z-1 dropoff(swapped out RS Psylo), Truvative isis drive cranks, fat maxxis tires(I put a gazz up front), full titec components package.

Strengths: The feeling of being able to go anywhere (except uphill, but who likes clibing anyway?), and being able to drop anything you set your mind to
Weaknesses: ARE YOU KIDDING? This is the single best bike ive ever ridden, well, minus the stock rims:-)
Bottom Line:
This bike hauls ass, and is the ultimate doo-everything once you get used to it. Plus its canadian made, so all the better. The other compainies should take a hint and start offering setups like this at a simmilar value
Similar Products Used: Nothing comes close, but the Specilized FSR had a similar feel
Bike Setup: the only thing wrond that i found with this bike was the stock rims, i made pringles then squares out of them, so i changed to maveric DEE MAXX
Strengths: awsome inexpensive bike with neerly 6 inches of plus travel. Active rear suspesnsion... Good compnents, handles like a heavy xc bike with heavy DH capabilities! Swish!
Weaknesses: Cant peddle... ulimate bob... I dont even sit down any more. I just sprint around. Rocker (swing arm thing) knocks frame sometimes.
Bottom Line:
Better then an RM6, and Norco things... for half the price.. WHy doesn't every one have one?
Strengths: I upgraded the brakes to 6 inch Hayes Hydraulic Disks, so it's pretty much like the Giant XtC AC 2, and the Magma frame(The rear swing arm is like the AC 1/2, and the main frame is like the Giant ATX 1)has a better feeling than the AC 2. I really like the rear shock on the Magma. Rock Shox Deluxe Adjust, 6 inch of travel, but feels like 7"; the lock out system is great! so when I go riding, I don't have to waste all my energy going uphills.
Weaknesses: Only one thing, the saddle. I have the medium frame. The top tube feels really short for me(I'm 5"8, 175lb), so I have to sit on the end of the saddle, and the end of the saddle is soft plastic, it's really uncomfortable. After you change the saddle, like the Tioga DH, this will be a kick ass bike.
Bottom Line:
This is a awsome bike for some free riding, but not downhill riding (Sure if you change it to Fox RC), because the rear rebound is too fast,(I couldn't find a way to change it. This is my first full suspension bike.) the coil is too soft. Sure go XC on this thing, put on the lock out system and ride, but it might be too heavy for serious XC riders. My friends said the rear shock bobed too much, but I think it's fine. Canadian Hand Made.
Weaknesses: Rear shock, psylo's flex, weight (but who cares?)
Bottom Line:
This bike is an excellent buy for the money, and with a new fork, (Boxxer, Jr. T, Super T.) it's great. The Psylo is a bit lacking, what with flex, and the fact that it is RockShox's first attempt at a single crown freeride fork. Otherwise this bike is great 7" rotor on the front, 6" on the back - it has lots of stopping power. And as for the rear end? It's sweeeeet, super plush travel. Congratulations on the great bike Devinci. This oughtta shut up the RM + Norco riders out there. This bike would be great for the beginner downhiller or a freerider that likes his squish.
Bike Setup: Psylo XC, Magura Louise Hydraulic disc brakes, LX/XT mix, Titec Seatpost, stem, bars, Maxxis High Roller tires, Rhyno Lite rims, WTB hubs, TruVativ Hussefelt splined cranks, RockShox deluxe adjust rear shock, true 4-bar linkage.

Strengths: the rear shock is great works well with a swing arm,the disk brakes and the deralers you can prety much go off of any thing
Weaknesses: the head tube seems to make a cracking noise when i put on the front brake.one of my brake leavers broke when it hit a rock. you have to make sur that you have the rear shock set up right because if you don't the bolt connecting to the swing arm will break and i had to find out the hard way. rock shox phylos hope to replace with monster t or jr t
Bottom Line:
if your a freerider like me you'll love this bike. if you want to do big drop this bike can handle it. it makes my friends jeluse just sitting on it and it looks great.
