Strengths:    it has a good, strong frame.great crank, and nice brakes

Weaknesses:    doesnt have a good fork, and not very good handle bars or stem, and the worst grips evva.

    Bottom Line:
this is one of my fav bikes. when you upgrade this bike it will provide your free ride, dj, and trail obsession. ps: if you get this bike puton PIKE 454 on it. then you pretty much can do what ever you want with it. you can free ride, and dj.starter bikers will love this bike, if they upgrade it.

Strengths:    great all round, i can ride on the street i can freeride and i can dirt jump on it, for the money its great. over time upgrade it and you will have the best bike in town.

Weaknesses:    the headset broke after 3 months, well it was still useable but i got a chris king. its a bit heavy (when picking it up to get over fences) and when manuling, the forks are a bit tinny and spring a bit to much for my liking

    Bottom Line:
this bike is really good, its perfect for almost anything. the only bad bit about it is how quickly the headset went. and how tinny the forks were, its a great bike and you can do abit of everything on it.
a exelent buy, i would recomend it

    Strengths:    Strong frame...Good bar bend..light,

Weaknesses:    The fork breaks easy and doesn't have good rebound.
The rims isn't very strong and spokes losen so you have to tighten them lots or they will bend.

    Bottom Line:
the kona shred is a good starter bike but the forks are just spring and the wheels break easy, and the frame is as rigid as I would like it 2 be. I broke the fork a few times and had to replace my rims cuz the kept braking. Its a good bike for about a year and that god its not 2 expensive because you probly should get a new bike the year after you buy this one. It only konas entry Dirt jumping bike so even thou it may sound like a bad bike in this review is just because its only a entry level bike. it is worth the money but eventualy it will start braking when you get better and get 2 rough for it.

Strengths:    Great Frame Geometry, Good seat and post, great handlebars

Weaknesses:    Grips and tires wear out quickly. Fork is not the best

    Bottom Line:
This is a superb bike for the money. I have had no issues with the bike. I have jumped it alot and it has held up. Even jumped stair sets and not a problem. Even the rims have held up great, even after trying 180's. This is a great bike for the money, and i could not be happier
