Date Reviewed: April 7, 2009
Favorite Trail:Noble Canyon
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $3995.00
Purchased At:California Bicycle
Strengths:Climbs better than the moto-lite
Decends better than any 6" bike
The Ti feels like it adds travel in the chatter.
Weaknesses:4g but i feel that this bike frame will always be a contender and the ti should give it a very long carrer.
Similar Products Used:Moto-lite owner since 05

yeti 575
moment

superlite

lenz lunchbox
Bike Setup:36 talas rc2 1.5 , rp23 hv, ck hubs on stans flows with cx-rays, hope mono-minis, 50mm thompson stem with high-rise sunline carbon v-1 bars.
Bottom Line:I was orriginally going to get this as a bike that i could bomb downhill but still be able to grind to the top and then i could keep my moto-lite as my super fast cross country machine. Well i love my moto but i have to say there is no point in keeping it as my ti guapo does 95% of every thing better than my moto. Let me break it down.

Technical cimbing-the guapo holds a line better and keeps from wheelieing.
fire road climbing- same
switchback climbing- guapo see above
Feel - guapo its the ti and the more relaxed rider position
drops - Guapo
jumps - guapo
steep sections -guapo
off camber - guapo as long as its not in the 6" mode
easy to balance - guapo
holds speed - guapo
plush - guapo

its better to ask what does the moto-lite do better than the guapo. the only things i can think of are wheelie drops(thats because of the really short chain stays) and the moto is a hair lighter. (though it doesnt feel that way)
