Strengths: excellent downhiller, very capable climber even at 29pds, minimal pedal bob
Weaknesses: its not the 2011 design!!
Bottom Line:
Excellent bike!! I love Specialized and there consistent quality of bike. The elixir brakes are amazing, SRAM is the best component maker IMO. Bike loves technical knarly trails, and with some beefy tires can handle some downhill runs.
I dont mind climbing on this bike because its so downhill capable. It truly is a swiss army knife, that does everything pretty damn good. All Mtn, XC, loves technical stuff, climbs well. If you have room for only one bike to do everything in Colorado, go buy one of these from MOJO Wheels in Denver. They are all real riders with good deals and great advice!

Strengths: Strong climber - for being an aggressive bike, it's light and stiff, has great climbling-assistance features like command-post, travel adjustment fork, pro-pedal rear shock. It's an even more amazing descender: great geometry, rigidity, brake setup, command-post, travel, ... loves to drop, pop and flow.
Weaknesses: Minor issue: I don't like cable routing down the front of the downtube.
Bottom Line:
This is an awesome bike for going everywhere; a quiver-killing AM rockstar!
Bike Setup: This is the 2010 SL Expert aluminum: Avid Elixir CR, RS Lyric two-step, Fox RP2, SRAM X0.

Strengths: Great handling, light weight and quality of components.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Bottom Line:
This is a awesome ride for the price. Hands down the best bike I have ridden and Ive ridden quite a few. I got the bike as a 09' closeout and couldn't be happier. The bike is very well built with a beautiful brown anodized finish. The handling inspires confidence. The bike's weight is perfect with the job that its intended for. The e150 is not needed to realize this bike's full potential. Spec did a great job in producing this bike. This bike is geared more towards a experienced rider who can use this bike to its fullest but thats not to say that a less experienced rider cant ride and enjoy it as well and thats what its all about.

Strengths: Top end components on a sweet frame. Lighter than my previous hardtail. Nice option on being able to lower the travel on the front fork. Great for climbing. Rear shocks 4 sets of stiffness is great for whatever you need to do.
Weaknesses: None yet, still breaking it in.
Bottom Line:
Great bike. Stoked on the price I got it for considering the MSRP. Rode it over a 150 miles so far and love it more and more everytime. Climbs great, descends better.

Strengths: Extremely fast on downhill for how light it is. Great for all around cross country and technical stuff. My set-up weighs about 27lbs and that is outstanding for an XL, all-mountain bike. The Fox Float works extremely well with the and rear suspension.
Weaknesses: None
Bottom Line:
I almost bought the Nomad, but I couldn't pass up the price and the stock parts that this bike came with... I couldn't be any happier! This bike takes everything! I go over boulder fields at 18mph like they are nothing and pass guys going uphill who are using hardtails! There is no bob from the rear shock and I love the fact that it has 4 settings for stiffness... This bike has saved me so many times and I am a way more confident biker! I took a 10ft drop-off onto a slope and landed directly onto the front wheel... The Fox Float took it perfectly with no bottoming out and somehow I was able to keep from going over the bars! If you have the money buy this bike! I've heard a lot about how this bike is useless without the e150 shock, but I can tell you that that statement is very much untrue. I've also heard that this bike is a better downhill bike than the new 2010 model... Get this bike it's a very good buy!
