Strengths:    Good entry bike if your on a budget. Endless scope for upgrades. Great quality for the price. A good fun ride.

Weaknesses:    Impossible to find any in depth specs on it.

Bottom Line:
Alot of bike for the money. Good for cross country or as a commuter in standard form and makes for an excellent downhill/ freeride bike with some upgrades- Ive ridden with people riding the likes of Kona, Solid, Specialized & Commencal and the Raw2 never fails to impress.

With half decent suspension components its surprisingly confident over the jumps & drops, and stable on high speed descents. Its capable of taking some abuse and seems strong and reliable- alot of mixed reviews out there but as long as the bikes maintained it will last a long time.

If your wanting a good project or a cheap entry level XC/AM bike I'd recommend this.

PS. Anyone know where I can find dimensions for the bike, like the head angle for exmpl??

Strengths:    Great looking bike on the muddy hills. Chunky wide tyres for off roading and the front suspension travel is good for the price. The gears require little tuning once they've been set up correctly.

Weaknesses:    As other reviews have said, the back hub is weak to the point of being pathetic. Its currently in the workshop to have the back axle replaced for a second time when I don't even thrash it that hard (and before people start saying I might be a fatty, I'm only 12stone!) Given that this bike is advertised as an off-roader/downhiller the boys at Saracen really should have strengthened it up with more that cotton wool.
The lateral weight distribution is also poor due to the disc brakes. Take your hands off the bars for a second and you're going off!

Bottom Line:
Great bike to look at but that's where it ends if you want to use it for what it was intended.

If you can, spend that little bit extra and get a Giant Yukon 3.

Strengths:    Brakes, frame, saddle

Weaknesses:    weight, it's not bad but I wish I'd been able to afford something lighter.

Bottom Line:
Nothing's broken and I do a LOT of miles on rough tracks with this bike. It's comfortable and always works well, never let me down.

A higher top gear would be good for road sections, but it's not too bad.

You never really notice the weight until you have to lift it over a fence or something, then I wish it was lighter. Overall I think I made a good choice for the money.

Strengths:    frame, front forks

Weaknesses:    rear wheel hub, it has no back bone and the spindal keeps on cracking in two because of this i had to change the hub for a hope brand. sorry guys at saracen.

Bottom Line:
a good all rounder apart from the rear wheel hub and spindal just dont have that edge it should give to us paying customers.
