Bottom Line:
After 17 years of searching, I found it. The perfect race bike that can be used for the all-day outing as well. This bike performs like it wants to be a hard tail when the trail points up...and eats up tight switchback turns and single track. When the trail goes downhill, this bike responds with quick handling and absorbs hits as if they were a quarter of the size. It is really light for a full banger with 5 inches of squish (2500 grams) and looks pretty cool as well. The shock on this frame is the Fox RP23...I think the picture shows a Magura shock, though. I am also using the Pronghorn wheels which are light and compliant and they haven't even thought of going wonky after some hard rides.
