Strengths: Quality, Strength & Comfort of Ti, Bike Geometry
Weaknesses: Hard to clean lower pivot near bottom bracket.
Bottom Line:
Awesome bike. Very agile without been twitchy, able to soak up the big stuff whilst still been comfy and efficient for cruizing.
The attention to detail on the frame is excellent, from the cable guides to "V" in the rear triangle, its a functional work of art. The Ti looks awesome with a bit of polish too!

Strengths: Fast, smooth and did I say FAST!
Weaknesses: Price-you get what you pay for.
Bottom Line:
I cant say enough about my ride. Had it now for little over a year. I wouldnt trade her for anything. Wouldnt do anything more with her either. She's super smooth and super fast and I really dont know why she's so damn quick. She tracks like a woman to a credit card, climbs like a mtn goat, decends like a balls out lightening rod. There literally is nothing you can throw at this bike to stop it. Its fun, light, the feel of Ti is second to none. Welds are still perfect. What can I say? I love my bike and I love Moots. Like the previous post, you pay for what you get but then its like cars. If you want the Mercedes you pay for it. I have no time for cookie cutter made in China anymore.

Strengths: This baby has 5" of sMOOTh travel yet I swear its a hard tail by how quick and agile it is, just point and go. Not only is the craftsmanship a thing of beauty but it rides like a rocket ship, fast and always holds its line.
Weaknesses: All I want to do is ride it! And to much of that keeps me in dutch with the wife.
Bottom Line:
I must say I love this bike!! I have ridden many great bikes out there and have really enjoyed them, but my cinco is a true dream ride it does every thing well from climbing to bombing down loose rocky trails & drops. This bike is so comfortable I never feel worn out after riding it all day , other then my tired out old legs. So if your thinking about getting this sweet ride do not hesitate !!!! you wont regret it. only 4 chilis for value bike stuff has gotten way out of hand!
Similar Products Used: bmc 4 stroke scandium carbon,(Great bike! ) litespeed niota, also nice. tomac78 speacial, nice!. I loved all my bikes, however the MOOTS wins hands down .
Bike Setup: red king head set , ritchey carbon stem, bars & seatpost full 08 xtr mavic crossmacs slr disk , red salsa skewers ,selleitalia flite gel flow ti rails saddle fox talas rlc 100-140 fox rp23, PUSH industry mods.
Strengths: Titanium is the best weight to strength material for a bike, and Moots are masters with it. The Cinco is their flagship MTB with a great 5" travel frame based on the legendary Ventana rear end. This is the Rolls Royce of MTB's.
Weaknesses: $3195 price is among the highest of any bike frame.
Bottom Line:
The stiffness of this bike, especially when paired up with stiff wheels (I went with Industry 9's) is reminiscent of a high quality BMX bike... I ride both hard pack trails and urban and being 210lbs now, I feel like a kid on a BMX bike when I'm on it.. Even with very strong and somewhat heavy brakes, wheels, and shifting gear, it only weighs in at just over 27lbs.. The frame being hardly above 6lbs, is amazingly light.. and the Fox RP3 is the perfect shock for such a frame. I find it rides on the stiff side, which suits my style well.
This is simply the best all around mountain bike one can possibly ask for. It's very light, very strong, looks great and is very unique. Paired with the finest components out there, the price tops $8500.. but if you want the best mountain bike, there aren't many other contenders.
Been hammering this ride for over 2 months. I cant say enough. The feel and ride of this bike is incredible. All she wants to do is run. First couple of rides I really had to keep her under control. Not happening anymore. There is absolutely nothing this bike can't handle. Every rock garden, tree stump, slice of singletrack, downhill & uphill climbs she'll tackle with ease. Yes, I have top of the line components on this bike which help a lot. Still cant take away from the fact of the feel of a Ti frame. Bullet proof to say the least. Have it for the rest of my life. Never grows old. She'll be with me in my grave. 5 inches of rear travel, 140 mm front, insane. Confidence level is off the charts now and its still cccccold out. Once it hits a steady 65-70 degrees, forgetaboutit. Gameover. You know what they say when you let a Mustang out of the barn? She wants to run!
Best bike I've ever ridden/owned. Words cannot describe it. Freeride? Mmmmmmm maybe perhaps. Not really. Welds are perfect. Bike is perfect. Worth every penny. Worth waiting for it. Personally I think after riding this bike its worth more.

Strengths: As for the Frame, the welds are near perfect. The Ventana rear triangle is beefy and does not flex. The RP23 is fantastic with a ton of adjustments for fine tuning. The rest of my build has actually exceeded my expectations on my first 15 rides.
Weaknesses: Cable routing for rear deraileur hits my leg but is easily fixed with a zip tie. The wait...nearly 3 months and not a custom build....I would however, do it again as this is my pic over a bike as great as my '07 S'Works Stumpjumper.
Bottom Line:
I review every bike I have purchased on here and always seem to keep the first impression of the bike the entire time I have owned each. I currently own just the Stumpy Sworks and the Moots. They are only similar in weight and travel. Otherwise, they differ greatly. The Moots is more of a hands on bike with the RP23 and the Revalation, there are a couple of on the fly adjusts I tend to do for every significant up or downhill. That said, the Moots is my choice for greatly varied terrain on a ride. Big bumps or rain ruts, you can change the settings even while riding (though probably not recommended). The carbon on the Spesh is defnitely more stiff notcable even for a small rider like me. The Moots is not flexy though, just compliant. I cannot detect any flex at the BB or as others have mentioned from the steer tube when at higher speeds. If you are thinking about it and can wait 2-3 months, I have to say, there is NO better bike. For the money, the Ventana may be the more affordable way to go but for the bling and longevity, pull the trigger on the Moots.
Similar Products Used: "07 S'Works Enduro, "07 S'Works Stumpjumper, '07 S-works Epic, Litespeed Owl Hollow, Merlin Fat Beat, Ventana Marble Peak....and the list could probably go on for a few more paragraphs.
Bike Setup: 15 inch Cinco frame Chris King Hubs/headset DT 4.2 rims and aero spokes SWorks Fast Trak LKs Moots layback post and stem Ritchey WCS carbon Low Rise bar SRAM XO triggers, rear derailer Avid Juicy Ultimate brakes 160mm Rock Shox Revelation 426 FSA KForce mega light carbon cranks Crank Bros 4 ti pedals Fizik Gobi saddle XTR cassette and front derailer Salsa QR's
This is my first all mountain type bike. My last bike was a YBB, so that is what I have to compare it to. I would say that this bike is best suited for someone that is looking for a fast all mountain type bike (I think we used to call that a mountain bike...). While it could be set up for racing, I think there is a bit too much travel for XC type racing. Maybe a 24 hour race or a marathon. The bike climbs well, but not as fast as my YBB did. It descends very well though. The only issues I have had with it was the main pivot bolt came loose, but a drop or two of blue Loctite cured that issue, and the Progressive shock went kapooie on me. While Progressive took care of the problem, I see now they are not even offering a shock for bicycles. So, that isn't really a Moots issue, as much as a Progressive issue. Moots is now offering this bike with either a 5th Element Air or a Fox RP3. I recommend if you get this bike, go with the RP3. I love the fact that you probably won't see this bike out on the trail when you're riding, it has a solid rear suspension and has that legendary Moots quality.
Bike Setup: Sram X.0 derailleur, shifters, XTR levers, front derailleur, Avid BB7 discs, King/Mavic wheelset, Panaracer Cinder 2.25 tires, Thomson post and stem, Salsa carbon bars, Race Face Atlas crankset, King headset.

Strengths: light, strong, looks great, rides even better.
Weaknesses: none yet
Bottom Line:
Price paid is for the frame and rear shock only. Total build cost will depend on how you dress it up. It is expensive - but worth every penny. At just 26.5 lbs, this bike climbs great, is super fast through the narrow N.E. single track and handles the rock gardens and stream beds with ease. I will have this ride a long, long time.
So I just finished my wifes new Cinco about a week ago.
I have a little tweaking to do. Probably go with lighter bars and some different grips.
