Favorite Trail:callawa - carabao trail
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $2000.00
Purchased At:3mj bikes
Strengths:the price! it was the cheapest FS frame available in our market but having been made by one of the larger bike manufacturers was a plus.
Weaknesses:the SR Epicon LOD rear shox blew out in less than a month of medium use (or probably slight abuse). hey, you get what you pay for but figured a month was cutting it a bit too short!
Similar Products Used:n/a, 1st full suspension ride
Bike Setup:shimano xt '08 gruppo, revelation 426 fork, shimano lx hubs + mavic 117 rims, kenda nevegal tires, turbolite stem & post, specialized saddle
Bottom Line:haven't been riding for too long...7 months total...so i guess my opinion may not be considered from an expert. however, the bike does give me the confidence needed to go through pretty tough trails and obstacles. sure has not broken down on the trail and has not caused major back injuries or discomfort. handling has not been a problem blasting through some pretty major rock gardens, a few hair raising single tracks & medium grade DH runs. it has also kept me at the front end of the pack i ride with. as the heading says...bottom-line...it's value is worth a lot more than the number of 0's on the price tag!!!
