Strengths:    Efficient climbing coupled with an uncanny ability to absorb bumps, precise steering, yet not twitchy. It's a comfortable bike that is at home on any trail. Great customer service at Ibis.

Weaknesses:    Ummmmm...? Oh, it's pretty pricey.

Bottom Line:
I've owned this bike for a little over a year. I've ridden it on diverse trails - sandy single track in west Denmark, buttery smooth man made trails in England and Czech, rocky goat paths in Italy and Switzerland. It has never failed to bring me enjoyment on a ride.
Climbing, it's efficient, yet still plush. It doesn't accelerate or climb like a Cannondale Flash, but on rockier climbs it's easier to keep the tires planted and spinning as the suspension keeps the wheels on the ground and working. There's a bit of bob from the rear if you don't keep a smooth cadence and have the fork locked out, but when your cadence is smooth or if you're out of the saddle mashing on the pedals, it climbs like a monkey.
On level or downhill trails it's incredible. Small bumps are absorbed like you're riding on gold butter wrapped in magic silk. Big hits are taken in stride, as well, and the bike holds it's line through rough terrain better than anything I've ridden. The steering isn't so quick that you're making constant corrections, but it's quick enough that tight singletrack is a breeze to navigate.
People are saying that the 26" wheel is going the into the junk heap with Biopace, but one riding this bike makes me question the wisdom of that conclusion. This is a fine riding machine.
